Bardessono Vineyards

Creator of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc from Yountville, Napa Valley.
For over 80 years, the Bardessono family has been farming grapes and providing fruit for some of Napa Valley's most prestigious producers. John Bardessono and his brother-in-law, Martin Zucco, purchased the Yountville vineyard property in 1926 with earnings from their work in an old copper mine. Eventually, the land was handed down to John's sons, Pete and Steve, who continued to farm wine grapes and sold them to prominent Napa Valley wineries for over 50 years. Again, the property was handed down to Pete's son Tom, who is the current owner and manager of Bardessono Vineyards today.

Barlow Vineyards

Wow! What a great place to come across. I have been coming up to Napa for the past few years now and I have tasted alot of good wine but Barlow wines might be some of the best wines I have tasted in Napa Valley and not many people know about it!

It's a family owned business with a father (Warren) and his son (Barr) who run the tastings at Warren's house on the Silverado trail. They only do two tasting appointments a day, so try and get an appointment ahead of time. There wines are fantastic! They do a Merlot, Zin, Sauvignon Blanc, Curvee blend and Cabernet Sauvignon. My favorite was the Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc. They only make around 1,000 cases in total production a year and approaching their goal of 2,000 case a year!

Barnett Vineyards

With passion and patience, Fiona and Hal Barnett created this vineyard and winery in 1983 with the intent of producing small amounts of hand crafted Cabernet Sauvignon wines from their estate. Since the first vintage of Barnett Vineyards, Spring Mountain has proven to deserve it's own AVA and become known as a unique mesoclimate, producing exceptional Cabernet Sauvignons and Merlots.

Bartalotti Wine Company

For Chris and Gino Bartalotti, winemaking at Bartalotti Wine Company is a family tradition that originated centuries ago in Italy and continues today in the Napa Valley. The brothers saw wine on the table each day. Most of the wine was made by family and friends where good food and wine had always been a pleasant part of daily life. In 1994 Chris went to Italy and worked in the family wine business. He studied age-old winemaking techniques. There was even a bit of the unexpected - carrying lugs of grapes on top of a Fiat through narrow hillside trails. Chris came home and, wanting to carry on the tradition, found a willing partner in his brother Gino. ~

Baxter Winery

In 2002, two generations of our family - both winemakers by trade - came together to create BAXTER, highlighting the very best in North Coast viticulture. Father & son partners, Phil L Baxter and Phil T G Baxter, produce handcrafted single vineyard wines focusing on the Anderson Valley and surrounding Mendocino appellations. Known primarily for their Pinot Noir.

Beaulieu Vineyards

The tasting room is gorgeous. Vaulted ceilings, warm earth tones & wood accents, and a lovely welcoming atmosphere. Everyone working here is friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. The fee for a standard tasting is $15....unless you're with a club member (or are one yourself). My favorite visit here was with some friends of ours when we got to do a reserve tasting downstairs, book an appt ahead of time. Wonderful !! The reserve Chardonnay is amazing. And the Tapestry - ohhhh!

Behrens and Hitchock

Behrens Family Winery is an enchanting winery that makes some of the best red wine in Napa Valley. Known previously as Behrens & Hitchcock and Erna Schein, this winery is now called Behrens Family Winery, although some of their wines are labeled with the previous winery names and all of their wines have whimsical names that might confuse you. All of the bottles have labels with unusual artwork and phrases. It is all very creative and playful, with word plays mixed with a diversity of art and cartoons. In direct contrast to all of this is the seriousness of the wines.

Bell Wine Cellars

Bell is an incredible winery in Yountville. If you can, book a private tour and tasting where you'll get the full story behind the single clone Cabernets and their winemaker Antony. If you're lucky, Maggie will do your tour. Brace yourself for the Clone 6!

Bella Vetta Vineyards

After graduating from the University of California Berkeley with a degree in Biology, Jac pursued his growing passion for winemaking in the Masters Program in Enology at California State University Fresno. Before becoming winemaker at Spring Mountain Vineyard, Jac began as an intern at Chateau St. Jean in Sonoma County, and from there, gained experience and expertise at Stag's Leap Wine Cellars, Stags' Leap Winery, and S. Anderson Vineyards in the Napa Valley. Bella Vetta is the label Jac and his wife Ami Iadarola, a Napa Valley native who works as controller at Joseph Phelps Winery, have established to make their own wines. They live on their two-acre vineyard on Howell Mountain.

Belle Glos

Joseph J. Wagner is a 5th generation Napa Valley winemaker and viticulturist. In the production of Belle Glos he makes decisions about the cultural practices in the vineyard, harvest dates, fermentation technique and barrel aging. Stylistically his wines are produced from ripe grapes - as ripe as is possible before the onset of winter. Pinot Noir is often considered feminine as compared to the rustic boldness of Cabernet Sauvignon - but Joseph’s Pinots are not quite so subtle – they are intriguing, flavorful and texturous.
