The Zmarzly Family Vineyards and Albertina are in the hills 4 miles west of the town of Hopland, on a small county road. The high elevation (1250 to 1600 feet) offers a chance to see 25 mile views of the hills, valleys and nearby mountain ranges. The views are thrilling, especially the one from the knoll, a tree-studded hill within the vineyard.
As you take a walk through the vineyard with Charlie Barra, you’ll find yourself surrounded by 60 year old, craggily, grapevines that resemble the sunbaked hands of Charlie that has nurtured them. These hearty, twisted vines, located on the bench lands at the headwaters of the Russian River in Redwood Valley, CA, are the source of the superior organic fruit that goes into each bottle of wine.

Black Kite Cellars is dedicated to reaching the pinnacle of what Pinot Noir can be-a marvelously aromatic and flavorful wine. Jeff Gaffner, Black Kite Cellars winemaker is committed to quality and this is reflected in the limited number of cases released.
The winery is named for the beautiful but endangered Black Shouldered Kite that is native to the Anderson Valley. These incredible hawks can frequently be seen circling the skies over Black Kite Cellars.
A benchmark Anderson Valley vineyard, Breggo Cellars acquired the Savoy Vineyard in April 2011.
Planted by Richard Savoy in 1991, the vineyard is located very close to the
valley’s mid-point, just west of the town of Philo. Breggo continues to
sell fruit from Savoy to many of the highly esteemed wineries that helped build the vineyard’s
reputation, including Littorai and Radio Coteau, as well as to some newcomers like Kutch,
Auteur, and Peay.
Winemaking traditions often begin around the table. Brutocao Cellars’ roots go back four generations to a Venice, Italy dinner table. When the Brutocao family came to the New World and married into the Bliss family of farmers, it was only natural that they would combine their passions and become grape growers and winemakers.
Today, the family still blends their Italian heritage with their rural agricultural lifestyle to make some of California's finest wines. Brutocao Cellars has tasting rooms in Sonoma and Hopland as well.
In the spring of 1989, Claudia and Bob Klindt were traveling through the Anderson Valley during a weekend trip. At the time, Bob, who was employed as a social worker in Santa Clara County, had already demonstrated winemaking prowess with several prizewinning homemade wines. Somewhere near the rural community of Philo, surrounded by Anderson Valley's vineyards and conifer and oak covered hills, they discovered a home and 20 acres for sale. The property was offered by Anderson Valley wine pioneer Milla Handley and included an assortment of winemaking equipment. The Klindts had dreamt of leaving the fast pace of city life, and it didn't take long for ideas to spring. By the fall of that year, the Klindts had sold their San Jose home, purchased Milla’s old property, and Claudia Springs Winery was born.
Cole Bailey Vineyards is located in Redwood Valley, a beautiful undiscovered town in Mendocino County, situated 50 miles directly north of Healdsburg. The proprietors, Jennifer and Bob Anderson, named the winery after their son, Cole Bailey Anderson, who was born in 1998 during the week that they planted their first hillside vineyard.

Gregory Graziano's grandfather, Vincenzo Graziano, and his wife Angela, first planted vineyards in Mendocino County in 1918 where they grew and sold grapes. In the late 1920's Vincenzo had to depend on selling grapes to home winemakers on the east coast and bootlegging wine to support his family. Gregory Graziano, Vincenzo's grandson, now carries on the family winemaking tradition that his grandfather set the foundation for and that his father Joseph later handed down to Gregory.
