Remick Ridge Vineyards

The secret is out, one of the premier vineyard properties in Sonoma County belongs to Remick Ridge. This vineyard and the Remick Ridge brand belong to Tommy Smothers of the Smothers Brothers fame. When Tommy and his grandfather Ed Remick started looking for vineyards in the early 70's they came upon this property in the hills of Sonoma and as Tom explains; his grandfather stuck out his finger and said "this is it" once you taste these wines you'll know that the finger pointed in the right direction. Tommy Smothers say's, "Making wine is so close to to show business. Wine like comedy, is subjective. Either people like your wine, or your songs, or your comedy, or they don't. Each is a creative process and you're only as good as your last effort.

Anakota Wines

Sourced exclusively from Estate-owned Knights Valley vineyards, Anakota is a collection of single vineyard, single varietal Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon wines that exemplify the rustic elegance and spirit of Sonoma County’s Mount St. Helena. Situated in the flanks and foothills of Mount St. Helena, each mountain vineyard is brought to life as stressed vines struggle with rocky soils and challenging climatic conditions to create small, intensely flavored berries.

Rochioli Vineyards & Winery

Free wine tastings, perfect scenery, a great little picnic area, and did I mention free tastings?
There's also a great book of menus/letters from the White House where their wines had been used. They go back to the Clintons - kind of cool! Hours: Thursday - Monday 11:00 to 4:00, Tuesday and Wednesday by appointment only.

Coturri Winery

When in wine country, some enjoy a Disneyland experience -- fake castles & dungeons, tram rides, huge gift shops, docents, buses, limos, and a million things to distract you from the wine. And then, there's Coturri. The production is tiny. The facility is a garage. Check out the Syrah, Zin, or anything that they might happen to have on hand to share...and you'll get a great bottle of hand-made wine with little intervention of any sort.

Anthill Farms Winery

With not more than a vision for making cool-climate, single-vineyard Pinot Noirs some friends made their first vintage - 250 cases - in 2004. Less than five years later, they have a critically acclaimed brand and more demand for their 1,500-case annual production than they can meet. They've earned having Anthill Farms in the coveted spots on wine lists at the French Laundry, Cyrus, Gary Danko and other well knowns and sommeliers say they can't keep the bottles in stock.

Berthoud Vineyards and Winery

Berthoud Wines (Berthoud is pronounced: BEAR2) are produced and estate bottled in the barn depicted on the label from vines that are meticulously managed to yield less than two tons of small, concentrated grapes per acre. Vineyard of Pasterick

This is a very small, private winery. The Pastericks are super friendly and will share the history of the property and their wine with you. They grow all of their own grapes and only produce one type of wine, Syrah, which is pretty tasty. Tasting is $10. They basically just pour you a glass of wine to drink while you walk around and tour the grounds.
