Carter Cellars

Carter Cellars produced their first vintage in 1998 with the help of veteran Winemaker Nils Venge. Since then they have had a string of fantastic releases and highly rated wines. Their focus has long been big Napa Cabernet, Merlot and Blends. They now focus on Vineyard Designate Cabernet Sauvignon and Red Blends from the famous Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard in Oakville and the steeply terraced Hossfeld Vineyard in Soda Canyon. The Carter Cellars wines are all deeply extracted and highly nuanced with bright fruit and intense structure that can be appreciated young, but will reward patience in the cellar.

Liparita Cellars

One of the best cult wineries in Napa, and by far from a price to quality ratio, no one compares. Only a three person operation making some of the best wine in Napa. Liparita was one of Napa Valley’s most decorated of the ghost wineries, with a rich heritage dating back over a century. These infamous wineries of the bygone era were the pioneers of the great Napa wines of today.

Hook and Ladder Vineyards & Winery

In 1970, San Francisco firefighter Cecil De Loach and his wife Christine
staked their claim in the wine grape business by purchasing 24 acres of old-vine Zinfandel in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County. In the early seventies, the De Loaches decided to acquire additional vineyard land.
For several years they watched others make notable wine from their grapes before making the decision to produce wine under the De Loach label in 1975.

E2 Family Winery

The Ehlers family history, within the wine business, began
during the early days of prohibition. Some of the first,
family ancestors arrived in California in 1835 where they
settled in the town of Lockeford and in the town of
Courtland, along the Sacramento river. The more recent
family migrated to California after a brief stay in Minnesota
after arriving from Germany.

Circle B Wines

Painting by Agata Zaborowski

Clara and Steve Baker's story of becoming winemakers starts with retiring from lifelong careers in construction management and police work. Yearning to leave busy Southern California behind, they targeted Paso Robles where they could slow down and enjoy each other’s company. In 2012 they moved into a gorgeous home on a 5-acre blank slate, perfect for a peaceful vineyard with stunning views.

The first half acre of 600 head-trained Grenache vines was planted in June of 2012 and they were off! With 3 1/2 acres still untouched, in 2014 Tempranillo, Grenache, Carignane, and Tannat vines were planted to complete the vision.

Clara and Steve thought they would sell the majority of the grapes, make a little wine, and enjoy the country lifestyle. Wow! Were they wrong. This husband and wife team quickly discovered they retired to work harder as farmers! Maintaining four acres with 3,900 vines on them is a full-time job that requires patience, stamina, science, and instinct.

Stryker Sonoma Winery

Great wine, amazing staff and wonderful venue. I highly recommend you visit Stryker Sonoma winery. Beautiful views from the property and from inside the north-facing tasting room, which is enclosed by large windows. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, they are not pushy but are very generous.

Beuregards Vineyards

In 1945 retired Sheriff Deputy Amos Beauregard purchased 157 acres of which 13 acres have been planted with winegrapes. Cabernet Saugivgon, Chardonnay, Zinfandel and an old grape know as Charabono were originally planted in 1880. Over the years Jim Beuregard has planted hundreds of acres of vines throughout the Santa Cruz Mountains and still maintains his 68 acres of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon. Jim and his family live on the estate and Ryan Beauregard is the Winemaker.
