Cactus Star Vineyard crafts its wine from grapes grown on the vineyard premises and occasionally from grapes obtained from other Ramona Valley vineyards within the RVA appellation. On-premise grape varieties are: Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Malbec.
Campo Creek Vineyards and Winery is located in the beautiful mountains of East San Diego County, where the Clarke family raise cattle on a 400-acre ranch first established in 1888. The boutique vineyard on the ranch, was planted in 2003, and has since grown to approximately 10,000 grape vines, making it one of the largest vineyards in San Diego’s mountain region where the wine grapes thrive in the long, warm days of Southern California. A hidden gem!! Charlie & Echo is small and it's easy to miss if you're not really looking for it. The woman helping us was very friendly and attentive. She was very knowledgeable about the wines. She offered some great suggestions. I loved everything I tried but I really loved their Grenache and Syrah. I was very impressed with their house wines as well. I don't usually drink white wine but their house white is one to try. Glad Charlie & Echo found us and reached out to us a few years ago. This is a great little place and I can't wait to go back! Oh! They make Spritzers too.*
