Chateau Diana

The gentleman in the tasting room, Scott, was friendly, knowledgeable and just nice to be around making our visit even better. He told us the tasting room have been open only three weeks which was hard to believe given the fabulous design, product displays and sense of organization. Oh dog friendly too!

Chateau Felice

It truly was love at first sight when Barry and Phyllis Rodgers drove through the gate off Chalk Hill Road. The property captivated their imaginations. That June day in 1997, Chateau Felice was conceived.
Over the following months, the Rodgers family set to work on the overgrown, unkempt cattle ranch. By 1998, the land was ready for planting 20,000 vines on 25 acres.
New structures were built, and winemaking facilities and equipment were installed in preparation for the first crush of estate grapes in 2001.

Chateau St. Jean

The tasting rooms and grounds are beautiful and well kept. There are shaded areas to enjoy a glass of wine, as well as a great deal of manicured lawns to have a picnic or catch some rays. If you arrive with sufficient time, they gladly give tours of the production rooms, which I found interesting.

Each time I've gone to a tasting here, the staff has been welcoming and informative, without being pretentious. The selection of wines for the regular tasting is good and includes several of my favorite wines from this winery. They usually give away the tasting for free if you buy a bottle.

Christie Estates Winery & Vineyards

A family operated winery & vineyards located just outside the friendly town of Healdsburg California. Christie Estates wines are handcrafted from tenderly cultivated & selectively harvested grapes. Christie Estates sources their grapes from one of their two sustainably farmed vineyards in the famed Dry Creek Valley & Russian River Valley appellations of Sonoma County. Founded by Steve Aitken in 2003 and has gained a loyal following for his style of wines.

Christopher Creek Winery

The variety & quality of the wines were great. The owners were also very friendly & accomodating to our dogs, allowed them in the tasting room and even shut the door so they could run free. It was a gorgeous day and when another group decided to taste outside on the deck, we decided to finish ours there as well, a really nice outdoor space with great views.

Churchill Cellars

Churchill Cellars specializes in the production of premium Pinot Noir from grapes grown on estate vineyards of less than 2 acres in size. Ken & Susan Churchill and winemaker Anthony Austin believe that small, precision farmed vineyards in the coolest regions of the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast appellations produce the regions most exceptional Pinot Noirs

Clary Ranch

Clary Ranch is located in the Petaluma Gap region of the Sonoma Coast AVA, about 5 miles due west of Petaluma and 11 miles from Tomales Bay. Clary Ranch Wines was founded by grower & winemaker Paul Clary, who planted the estate vineyards in 2000.
The vineyards consist of 5 blocks of Pinot Noir on about 12.5 acres and 2 blocks of Syrah on about 2.5 acres. In 2007, Wine Spectator named Clary Ranch as among "The Hot New Dozen of California Pinot Noir". Wine Enthusiast said that Clary Ranch is one to "keep an eye on". Allen Meadows of Burghound, often tough on California Pinots, has enthusiastically acclaimed Clary Ranch Pinot Noir as having "impeccable" balance.

Cleary Ranch Vineyards

At the Cleary Ranch, life is more than just working hard to make ends meet. It’s about the loving memories you create with family and friends. The folks at Cleary Ranch Vineyards believes that these times are best served over a great bottle of wine. John Cleary calls this “Memories Uncorked.” The wineries focus is on hand-crafted Pinot Noir.

Cline Cellars

This isn't your usual winery experience--Cline is surrounded by an impressive property, but this location is also rich with historical relevance. The mission on downtown Sonoma used to actually be located where Cline stands today. The vineyard was cute and cosy. IHas picnic tables in the front lawn laid out so you can have your own snacks to accompany your bottle of wine after your tasting.

Clos Du Bouis

Clos Du Bois seemed to make a very little effort to hide the corporate image with big buildings and parking lots marked 'Corporate visitors only'. Still they make a very decent selection of table wines, especially at their pricing. Have you been to Costco lately? While I have yet to purchase a bottle of Clos Du Bois it has been served to me a number of times visiting friends. My goal is to make a trip to try their higher end wines and their flagship "Marlestone" and their old vine carignane.
