Chateau Margene

Painting by Agata Zaborowski

The legend of Chronic Cellars dates back to 2004 when our founders, Josh, and Jake Beckett, combined their winemaking skills with their wit and humor to turn an idea into reality using two tons of the best – or ‘chronic’ – grapes to make killer wine. Ever since then, Chronic Cellars has been fully committed to making seriously good wine for people looking for a little dose of adventure. Their disruptive style is matched only by the killer quality of their wines, made with character to match our clever and playful labels.

Cheateau Margene

Atop the rolling hills just outside Creston, Michael & Margene Mooney began the fulfillment of their dream to plant a vineyard, build a winery and establish their home. The family took up residence on the property in the Summer of 1998 and planted the 5.5 acre estate vineyard in the Fall of 1998. Chateau Margene’s first wine was their 1997 Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon, with grapes sourced from a vineyard in Paso Robles’ west side Templeton Gap area and another vineyard off Airport Road in east Paso Robles. The first wines off the estate were the 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2001 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2006 GSM & 2007 GSM both sold out very quickly at the two tasting rooms, as did the 2007 Syrah & 2008 Mourvedre. After producing Pinot Noirs from Paso Robles from 2002 to 2007, Michael and Margene researched the cooler weather climates of California and chose to acquire grapes from Monterey County for their Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir. The 2008 and 2009’s both sold out immediately.

Ciento Cellars

Painting by Agata Zaborowski

"CIENTO" was born out of two inspirations.  "Cielo" or heaven in Spanish and "Viento" or wind.  In other words, "Heaven Wind."  It also happens to be the number one hundred in Spanish, perfection in the world of wine.  This is not about perfection, it's about joy, creativity, hard work, and family.  If perfection comes someday, the team at Ciento will be doubly blessed.
The dream of Dave, Antonia, Sam, and Diego at this small family vineyard and winery started nearly 20 years ago.  It was just a dream then, but took a big step toward reality when we purchased our property in Paso Robles, CA in 2012.  It took seven long years of thinking, planning, raising a family, and dreaming before planting the vineyard in 2019.
Ciento is 14 acres under vine with eight grape varietals.  The vines are thriving, producing beautiful, aromatic, and complex wines.   The team at Ciento is excited to showcase their handcrafted, small-batch wines!

Cinquain Cellars

2006 marks the first vintage of Cinquain Cellars, one of the newest wineries in the Paso Robles appellation.  Cinquain Cellars is focused on estate grown reds, including Bordeaux, Rhône, and Port varieties, as well as, sourcing fruit from select vineyards for white varieties.  It is run by David and Beth Nagengast, with David tending to the vineyard and winemaking while Beth manages the sales and marketing.

Cinquain Cellars

Planted,
pruned, picked, and pressed,
all by hand, on our land,
we share our art form and passion,
with you.

This simple 5-line poem called a Cinquain (pronounced seen-cane), embodies the spirit of Cinquain Cellars, from nurturing 10,000 vines on our estate vineyard to crafting small lots of artisan wines for your pleasure. Owner and winemaker, David Nagengast likes to think of Cinquain wine as bottled poetry and hopes you will agree.

Circle B Wines

Painting by Agata Zaborowski

Clara and Steve Baker's story of becoming winemakers starts with retiring from lifelong careers in construction management and police work. Yearning to leave busy Southern California behind, they targeted Paso Robles where they could slow down and enjoy each other’s company. In 2012 they moved into a gorgeous home on a 5-acre blank slate, perfect for a peaceful vineyard with stunning views.

The first half acre of 600 head-trained Grenache vines was planted in June of 2012 and they were off! With 3 1/2 acres still untouched, in 2014 Tempranillo, Grenache, Carignane, and Tannat vines were planted to complete the vision.

Clara and Steve thought they would sell the majority of the grapes, make a little wine, and enjoy the country lifestyle. Wow! Were they wrong. This husband and wife team quickly discovered they retired to work harder as farmers! Maintaining four acres with 3,900 vines on them is a full-time job that requires patience, stamina, science, and instinct.

Clesi Wines

Painting by Agata Zaborowski

Winemaker Chris Ferrara is deeply influenced by his Sicilian heritage, Chris creates Italian varietals that are old-world, iconic, and elegant. Tucked in between the rolling hills of the Templeton Gap AVA and surrounded by vegetable gardens and roaming chickens, Clesi Winery is open Thursday through Sunday in their Tasting Room at 1873 Templeton Road in Templeton. After more than a decade in San Luis Obispo, Adrienne and Chris Ferrara of Clesi bought 30 acres in 2015 to return to the Templeton AVA.

Cloak and Dagger Wines

Minimum security tasting is available at Cloak and Dagger's  Tasting Lounge in downtown Paso Robles. The Tasting Lounge is located in a small historic building in the town square, overlooking the City Park. Outward appearances would suggest the Lounge is little more than a delightful wine-tasting venue in the heart of Paso Robles’ vibrant downtown scene. Appearances can be deceiving. The Tasting Lounge is located at 840 11th Street, Paso Robles.
