Wineries

Bent Creek Winery

When Pat and Tom Heineman purchased the property in 1980, opening a winery was not in their plans. They wanted to own some land “out in the country”. They chose the location for its beauty and feeling of serenity. As educators in the Livermore they met the couple who would later become their partners in the winery, Carol and Rich Howell. Pat and Carol were fellow elementary school principals in Livermore. The two couples shared many common interests including the enjoyment of good wines.

Big White House

Big White House Winery specialize in handcrafted luxury wines of rare quality served in an informal tasting room that encourages education in a fun environment. Barrel tasting is available nearly every weekend as part of your tasting experience. Most weekends John Evan, John the Elder and Stephanie are pouring in the tasting room with a host of knowledgeable volunteers. Wine club members and their guests receive free complimentary tasting at both locations.

Boaventurea de Caries Vineyards

Winemaking is an homage we pay to our inspiration, BoaVentura Baptiste de Caires, who instilled in his grandson, Brett Caires, a passion for relishing the simple things in life: family, food, and wine. From his legacy, Brett and Monique Caires proudly cultivated the winery’s heritage around the concept of “Boa Ventura,” or good venture.

Bodegas Aguirre Winery & Vineyards

Specializing in Estate grown premium red wines, proud to present the fruit of the labors their family that started in 1995. We spared no effort or expense for our vines to produce low yields of the highest quality grapes that our Valley can grow. They were meticulously crafted into complex wines sure to please the most discriminating wine aficionados.

Caddis Wines

Although Caddis is new it is quickly becoming one of my favorite wineries in Livermore. The winemaker Chris has had years if experience in the Livermore Valley and it shows in his wines. It's no surprise the Caddis took home a number of Chronicle wine awards, their wines is phenomenal! Caddis is located next to Wood Family and are only open a select amount of days throughout the year. Just a quick update. Caddis Wines now has two locations, in Livermore and Sonoma.

Canine Wines

Canine Wines was founded on the inspiration of combining two passions; enjoying really good wines, and caring for and the love of our rescued animals.

We handcraft ultra premium California wine from quality grapes from the finest vineyard in the state. We use the best grapes and the best techniques to create outstanding wines.

And then we give our wine a purpose. We give $5 per each bottle we sell to assist in animal rescue efforts.

Cedar Mountain Winery

Earl Ault and Linda Ault are the owners of the Winery. The Cedar Mountain Winery combines the creative interests of Linda and Earl - wine, food, and art. Earl is the winemaker and he is also an accomplished sculptor, watercolorist, and large format photographer. Linda has been a recognized amateur chef for over 20 years and studied at the Great Chefs at Robert Mondavi Academy.

Saturday and Sunday 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Charles R Vineyard

Charles R Vineyard is one of Livermore Valley's big wine secrets - well maybe that's not true with the number of reviews I have found. Charles R is a great little find, here's why:
Great wines at decent prices: The Sauvignon Blanc that they just made is light, crisp and delicious and their cabs which are good too. Service with a smile: It doesn't matter how many people are packed into this little tasting room, they always have the nicest people helping visitors and who simply love to chat about wine. The Charles R Experience: From the sitting on their patio nibbling on food you brought while savoring a glass of their wine to tasting in their tasting room, the overall experience is so "laid-back Livermore".

Concannon Vineyard

Concannon Vineyard has a proud history of “Firsts.” Always an industry leader, Concannon is the first successful winery to be founded by an Irish immigrant. When James Concannon planted white Bordeaux cuttings in the late 1800s, we became one of the first wineries to make Bordeaux-style wines in California. In 1950, we hired the first professional, female winemaker, Katherine Vajda. In 1961, we introduced America’s First Petite Sirah, sparking a love affair with the variety.

Crooked Vine Winery

Crooked Vine Winery/ Stony Ridge
The original Stony Ridge winery was established in 1887 at the historic Ruby Hills site in Pleasanton, California. In 1975, a group of young enthusiastic winemakers leased the current Livermore property and continued Stony Ridge Winery. In 2000, the Vaughn family purchased the winery and expanded creating an additional label, Crooked Vine.
