“Esca," Italian for allurement, is an expression of winemaking and living that the husband-wife team of Mario and Anna Monticelli embrace. It’s not a stretch to say that everything in their lives revolves around food and wine.
In their day jobs they are winemakers for a couple of Napa Valley’s most storied families - Mario for Trinchero, Anna for Pina. In their spare time they make wine for themselves, their friends and their family.
