Nichelini Winery

A visit to the Nichelini Family Winery offers an experience of the Napa Valley the way it used to be: serene, rustic, and independent. Get away from the crowds and travel the 8 miles up into the hills east of the Silverado Trail, past Lake Hennessy and through the scenic cliffs of Sage Canyon Road.

It's a small production, historic, pre-prohibition family winery. One is welcomed in almost immediately as family and greeted with a line of fine, well crafted wines that reflect the care and thought that went in to their creation. Winemaker Amy is passionate about her job and the staff are genuinely happy to play host to visitors
Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday 11am to 5pm, or Monday through Thursday by appointment.

Old World Winery

Came here for Barrel Tasting Weekend! a great small little hole in the wall winery (which I like!). Good Zin! The Owner/Winemaker Darek is super down to earth, pours great tastings and is reasonably priced. The tasting room has some stories so be sure to ask about the bar and the different furniture pieces.

Marietta Cellars

Marietta Cellars is located just outside the little town of Geyserville in one of California’s premier wine growing regions, Sonoma County. Owner and winemaker Chris Bilbro initially founded Marietta Cellars in 1978 in a rented cow barn in the Dry Creek Valley. The winery is named after Chris’ great aunt.

David Coffaro Estate Winery

The wines here were very good really enjoyed them. They charge a $5 tasting fee, which is definitely worth it to try some of their nice blends as well as the Zin, Cab, and Petite Sirah. Nice winery with a great personality. The barrel tasting experience is great. The lobster bisque was very good. The wine selection made it all worth the trip and the picnic area really took things to a new place.

Concannon Vineyard

Concannon Vineyard has a proud history of “Firsts.” Always an industry leader, Concannon is the first successful winery to be founded by an Irish immigrant. When James Concannon planted white Bordeaux cuttings in the late 1800s, we became one of the first wineries to make Bordeaux-style wines in California. In 1950, we hired the first professional, female winemaker, Katherine Vajda. In 1961, we introduced America’s First Petite Sirah, sparking a love affair with the variety.

Sapphire Hill

A newly discovered gem with an enthusiastic staff serving great pinot noir, zinfandel and cabernet sauvignon. A step up in wine tasting with a small cheese plate made a huge difference. It was a pleasant surprise and complemented the wine naturally. Comfortable and personal tasting room did not take away from the point of wine tasting.

Meeker Vineyards

The tasting was a blast, the guy behind the counter was knowledgeable and funny. Why can't all tasting rooms have this kind of service? He listened to what we said and altered our tasting to fit our palate. Excellent service.

F. Teldeschi Winery

*Tiny* building with beautiful scenery, Teldeschi let us venture into the back room to see all the Oak barrels with the sweet alcoholic juices we were imbibing. There's something to be said about a winery just being a place for wine.
