Katheryn Hall Vineyards

YES, as good as it gets. This is where culture, style, design, money and dedication to wine come together and make an oasis for enjoying wine. The cave is meticulously clean, deeply detailed in design and artwork. What a great way to relax before the tour & tasting begin. The staff is extremely friendly & knowledgable about wine. Some great reds!

Coates Vineyards

Coates Vineyards, certified organic biodynamic winery, is in the Six Rivers National Forest near the small town of Orleans in Northern California. It was founded by Norman Coates, an organic farmer, winemaker, and vineyard manager in 1991 with the planting of the first of five vineyards. The first vineyard was Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, and Sangiovese from cuttings that were from organic vineyards in Sonoma County, California. The cuttings were rooted in nursery beds and then planted out in vineyard rows the following spring. The vineyards on the Klamath have the luxury of being established on their own roots instead of being grafted onto disease resistant rootstocks for the simple reason that Orleans is far away from the large grape growing areas where diseases are prevalent.

Carrefour Vineyards

A small Napa Valley winery owned by a dentist and an airline pilot, Greg and Marilyn Nitz. Carrefour is the French name for "crossroads" or a "meeting place" which paints a perfect picture of the owners' food, wine and friends lifestyle.

The estate 18-acre vineyard was planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc in 1997, with additional Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc and Petite Verdot added in 2000. The winery now produces estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc.

Jaffe Estate

Jaffe Estate Wines is a family-owned winery. The estate produces rich and medium-bodied Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon wines. Customers can order online or make an appointment to have a tasting.

Swanson Vineyards

Such a fun winery! The Swanson's were there when we paid a visit and took the time to come over and speak with us on a more personal level asking where we're from, and what we did to make small talk. A very lovely couple that made you feel at home. They also had a very nice gentleman playing music on a very special instrument (I can't remember the name) in the front garden/patio area.

Raymond Vineyard & Cellar

Raymond Vineyards, founded in 1970 is one of Napa Valley's great estates. Through the years, Raymond Vineyards has built an enduring legacy for elegant wines with beautiful balance, finesse, power, and complexity. Five generations of the Raymond family imbued the winery with a sense of its deep roots in the Napa Valley and a commitment to honor those roots through every wine produced.

Today, Raymond is an integral part of Boisset Family Estates. Raymond Vineyards is renowned for its 100% Cabernet Sauvignons made with grapes from the most prestigious Napa Valley appelations.

Ranch Sisquoc

This place is really different and relaxing. The wines are very reasonable and great quality. Love the historic aspect and the grounds are beautiful to get your picnic on. Great Pinots and Cabs the atmosphere is so cool and off the beaten track. This winery is a little out of the way, but well worth the trip! The tasting room is lovely and the wines are good. There is a really nice lawn/yard outside of the tasting room that you could have a picnic on and there is a covered area with picnic tables for larger groups. The entire place has a very relaxing atmosphere.

Lava Cap Winery

Lava Cap is a family-owned winery in Placerville, California. The Jones family planted their first vines in 1981 and opened the winery in 1986 on a special site in the heart of the Sierra Foothills. The family of geologists specifically selected this location for its prime volcanic soil that is particularly well suited to growing fine wine grapes. They named their new business after this unique "lava cap," where their grapes flourish in the volcanic soil, warmed by the foothill sunshine and cooled by gentle Sierra night breezes.
