We feature fine hand crafted wines made from organically grown premium wine grapes and a unique Irish Bed & Breakfast. 37 years in Fair Play. Tedeschi Family Winery

Tedeschi Family Winery is a great boutique winery to visit and tour. Tedeschi produces approx. 2,000 cases each year. At the time of adding the winery to our California Winery Directory we learned from Stephanie Trotter- Zacaria the Directory or Sales and Marketing that Tedeschi Family Winery took some recent medals for their wines. Congradulations to Emil Tedeschi, vintner & the winery owner, to Emilio Tedeschi the Winery's General Manager and not for forget Mario Tedeschi winemaker.  We will be updating the winery in the future and getting a better picture assigned to the listing soon *

Bremer Family Winery

We also had a fantastic little table across the creek in the trees and each wine was explained to us. We really loved our experience and the wine is fantastic. I think this is a great little gem. The level of service, the little snack plate, the wine was amazing and it isn't sold in stores, so you have to know this place. All the reds were great overall, they seem to put a lot of care and time into their wines.

Fawnridge Winery

The Perry's have been avid wine lovers for thirty years. After living in North Lake Tahoe for fifteen years they moved to Auburn in 1989. The couple raised sheep together and cared for their property overlooking the Sacramento Valley. Upon learning that local grape growers were bringing back the grape and wine industry as it was during the historic Placer County Gold Rush era, they decided to develop vineyards on their property. With the help of friends they planted Barbera and Syrah in the summer of 2002. Stewart and Stephanie are personally involved in every aspect of the vineyard management and wine making process.

Provenance Vineyards

Try their 09 Provenance Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Three Palms Vineyard. From the same vineyard, a really good choice would be 07 Provenance Vineyards Merlot Napa Valley Three Palms Vineyard at $39 (a killer price).

Clearly, the wines made from the Three Palms Vineyard are superior to the other wines in their Provenance line-up.

Strongly recommend tasting here as a counterbalance to the Napa wineries who showcase over $100 Cabs.

Oops, I almost forgot - their Sauv Blanc is REALLY, REALLY good - for the white wine fans out there.

R&B Cellars

R&B's core mission has been to create high quality wines that deliver tremendous value to the consumer. Since 1997, winemaker Kevin Brown has taken a detail-oriented and labor-intensive approach to crafting the highest quality wines.

Doffo Winery

Your visit to Duffo is more that just a winery. This is where the Duffo Family worked to transform barren desert into a thriving oasis. Marcelo Doffo worked the earth, coaxing bountiful vines from once barren soil.

Picchetti Winery

From the lofty heights of Montebello Mountain the grapes make the journey down to the historic ranch where they are examined, pressed and crushed in the shadow of the original Picchetti homestead house. Under the gaze of the ever watchful and vigilant peacocks, sweet juice is magically turned to wine.

Louis M Martini Winery

Louis M. Martini is one of the old wineries known for their Cabernets. They have a nice patio area where you can bring a picnic while doing your wine tasting.

When we walked in the tasting room, we walked up to the counter and selected the $15 tasting of three cabernets. We were give the first pour at the counter and were told we could go into large patio area and sit at one of the tables where our tasting could continue. Meanwhile, we setup our picnic and enjoyed our tastings with our picnic. The sever was very informative and came back with the next pour on our tasting menu when we were ready.

The pours were generous and we were also given pours of the Meritage and Monte Rosso in the $20 tasting menu as well.

It great place to bring a picnic to have your wine tasting in their nice patio area. Would definitely recommend.

Egelhoff Wines

One of California’s top consultants makes his own wine on the run. He had worked as an assistant winemaker for Merryvale Vineyards. He had made Wine Spectator’s 1997 wine of the year, the Cabernet Sauvignon Elevation 1147, for David Arthur Vineyards. So in 1999, Bob Egelhoff decided it was time to hang out his own shingle and establish Egelhoff Wines. But that shingle doesn’t hang in one place; Egelhoff’s operation is mobile and international.
