Wild Horse Winery

Logo of Wild Horse Winery in Templeton California

The name Wild Horse Winery is a tribute to the herds of mustangs that once roamed the hills above the vineyards. And it is quite possibly that the owners also had in mind the Cal Poly mascot – a galloping horse ~

William James Cellars

Today, Robin Bogue with the help of her dad, Bill, run the day to day business at William James Cellars. From grape to glass, the enjoyment of wine is purely subjective. William James Cellars produce wines that stand alone but also love the beauty of food and wine that pairs well together. Enjoy!
Robin’s Manifesto: I am a goddess, and my body is my temple; so therefore I drink wine!

Willow Creek Wine Co.

In 2017 Brain and Natalie Brown moved to Paso Robles and Sona Estate on Vineyard Drive in the Willow Creek District was born. In addition to growing their own fruit the couple have spent years fostering with other wine grape growers as far south down the Central Coast as Santa Barbara, to as far north as Sacramento Delta and Napa Valley. The wines produced are clean, site driven wines with minimal intervention in the cellar. This couple sees eye-to-eye on style and technical details but ultimately the loyalty to a promise never to bottle a wine that both would not drink. Willow Creek Wine Collective is an appropriate name as Brian and Natalie produce wine under multiple brands and have brought them all together under one roof.

Due to possible restrictions during the Pandemic please contact the Willow Creek to make reservations so that you can enjoy their wine selections.

Windward Vineyard

I went back and forth about stopping here. Ultimately our stop here was a last minute decision. This is Pinot only winery, if you are looking for something else, then skip it. If you're a Pinot fan however, this place is well worth a stop. Cool place to try some Pinot in Paso. Family owned and made, pretty cool. Elegant pinot noirs. A vertical type of tasting, small productions.

Wolff Vineyards

This vineyard is such a little gem! They are located on top of a hill so the view is gorgeous, and they have an adorable patio area. The servers are extremely knowledgeable, pleasant and attentive, even when the counter is packed full. I appreciated the hospitality. Great view from the patio, a nice place to bring some snacks and enjoy a tasting. A couple nice well behaved dogs hang out with you while you are enjoying your tasting. The Old Vine Chardonnay, Red Wolff, Syrah and Petite Syrah were all good. Many of the wines are particularly good with a cheddar based cracker so bring some!

Tasting fee is $8 waived per bottle purchased ($10 for groups of 8 or more). All wines under $30 per bottle (regular price). Sammie the dog is gorgeous and well behaved! Brixie is the old English Lab - they used to have a "Brixie's red" that was a really nice table wine - I believe this is now the Red Wolff.
