Gregory Graham

Wines are made in the vineyard, and harvest should take place at the perfect moment – not when dictated by a schedule” is Greg’s approach to his winemaking. In the vineyard, he harvests the grapes at the peak of fruit flavor development. In the winery, he uses boutique winemaking techniques and early bottling to preserve the flavors. His techniques allow him to control the quality, bringing out the grapes’ superior characteristics. The results are excellent Zinfandel, Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet, Viognier, Sauvignon blanc, and Riesling.

Ovene Winery

Ovene Winery, Inc. was founded by Jeff & Genni White in March 2004. The winery is a culmination of 18 years of home winemaking preceded by 5 years of sales management in the wine. Jeff got his start in the wine industry with Italian Swiss Colony winery in 1983 as divisional sales manager for the Southern California market. After 2 years Jeff was recruited by the Seagram Wine Company and became district manager for Southern California in charge of Taylor California Cellars.

Saddleback Cellars

Established in 1982, Saddleback Cellars is a small winery located in Oakville, in the heart of the Napa Valley. 14.8 total acres are planted to 8.4 acres Cabernet Sauvignon, 2.9 acres Chardonnay, 1.75 acres Merlot, 1.1 acres Pinot Blanc, 0.3 acres Pinot Grigio and 0.3 acres Zinfandel.

Presidio Vineyard & Winery

Presidio strongly believes in matching varietals to their preferred climactic regions. The Presidio Vineyard’s cool climate is particularly well-suited for Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Chardonnay. Extensive research was required to discover the highest quality clones to produce the highest quality ultra-premium wines. This required Presidio to engage a French firm to assist them in acquiring the optimum clones.

Alma Rosa Winery & Vineyard

Richard Sanford came to the Santa Ynez Valley 40 years ago with the desire to create wines that would rival the best of France. First to recognize the potential of the Santa Rita Hills, now an officially accredited American Viticultural Area as Sta. Rita Hills, and first to plant Pinot Noir vines there, Richard is a pioneer with a well established reputation for excellence in winemaking. With over 100 acres of certified organic vineyards in the Sta. Rita Hills, Alma Rosa Winery & Vineyards focuses on continued excellence in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, as well as Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Noir - Vin Gris (a dry rosé). All wines are food friendly and display the high acid, and extraordinary balance for which Richard Sanford’s wines have been known since 1976.

Shadow Canyon Cellars

Shadow Canyon is a mountain vineyard located on California's Central Coast planted to syrah and grenache. Located in the middle of the East-West corridor known as the Templeton gap, the vineyard lies at a 1,600' elevation approximately 8 miles from the ocean. The corridor allows cool marine air and fog to roll into the vineyard, which experiences daytime highs in the 80's and 90's, with nighttime lows in the 40's. This large diurnal temperature swing promotes a long growing season and balanced fruit development.

Robert Sinskey Vineyards

The building is beautiful, with an open kitchen where they make their light bites from scratch. I've tasted here three times and have really fun and knowledgeable hosts. Bonus points for the vineyard being 100% certified COOF Organic and Biodynamic.

This is also one of the wineries that allows you to bring your own picnic to enjoy on the sun-drenched patio. I love to make this a mid-point stop and enjoy some cured meats, cheeses, and baguette and share a bottle of my favorite Sinskey wine, the lovely Abraxas. Such a great idea! $15 of the $25 tasting fee is refundable with the purchase of two bottles of their reasonably priced wines. Definitely not to be missed during your Napa super happy fun time!

Elke Vineyards

I really like the atmosphere of their tasting room. It is very small and intimate and you are often the only people in there. We had very generous pours for the tasting and I think we tasted 7 or 8 wines. I preferred the reds as always and lkiked their the zin. They sell a lot of fresh juices here too which is nice.
