Figge Cellars

Started in 2004 by Peter Figge, the winery produces three varietals: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah. For all Figge wines, Peter is both the vineyard manager and winemaker ensuring the wines are handcrafted. Case volumes vary from wine to wine and the total production for Figge Cellars hovers around 2500-3500 cases each season.

Kaz Vineyard & Winery

Pulled into the Winery parking lot and the sign said closed.
Some guy, KAZ waved us in and the next couple that pulled in as well.
I was here to try his ports, but he had 7 other wines to try as well. $5 to taste 5.
The varietals are unique and funky like the winemaker. He's a nice guy. Wines were good, especially the ports.

La Seremissima

Established in 1998, La Seremissima vineyards cover a gentle slope facing the Pacific Coast
Trail in San Diego North County. The vineyard and winery's name, La Serenissima, pays homage to the
most Serene Republic of Venice, for centuries the cultural center of the Mediterranean, where the tradition of wine making flourished, giving civilization the precious gift of wine. Annual production is limited to 1000 cases.

Sobon Estate

All of Amador County is pretty laid back for their tastings. Sobon is one of the more welcoming wineries. You can tell they (and those at the sister winery, Shenandoah) really love wine, the location, and meeting new people. They wines are tasty too! They are probably the most popular winery in Plymouth. They are like Livermore's Wente winery of Amador: popular, but not the best in the biz. No, wait. I disagree with my earlier Self. The service is great here, and though I'm not a fan of ALL of their wines, their Tannat was good. We will make another trip after the holidays and ask to taste all their reserve wines.

Cache Creek Vineyards & Winery

Discover Cache Creek Vineyards & Winery and the Land Bill “Poppo” Van Pelt, our father and grandfather.  Bill vowed to keep the land as a sanctuary for the elk. Several ponds around the property serve as water sources for waterfowl, otters, beaver, wild turkeys, deer, and elk. Owl boxes placed throughout the vineyard provide a natural method of gopher control.

Old World Winery

Came here for Barrel Tasting Weekend! a great small little hole in the wall winery (which I like!). Good Zin! The Owner/Winemaker Darek is super down to earth, pours great tastings and is reasonably priced. The tasting room has some stories so be sure to ask about the bar and the different furniture pieces.
