Driving up, the place is quite understated. Once you walk around the side of the tasting room and see the view you have to just stop and admire the beauty. Easily one of the best views in the entire valley! Going inside the tasting room you're greeted by a very personable staff. They all have genuine smiles on their faces and welcome you in. The tasting menu is well balanced here with a nice selection of red and white wines that should work for most any taste.

I just visited St. Helena's and had such a great time at Milat. The place is very small, but because my group was the only one there, I did not mind. I also love that the place is decorated with family pictures and it really shows the history of Milat - a family run vineyard. The Milat wine is only sold in Napa, so there is no need to worry about what is a reserve or not.

The building is beautiful, with an open kitchen where they make their light bites from scratch. I've tasted here three times and have really fun and knowledgeable hosts. Bonus points for the vineyard being 100% certified COOF Organic and Biodynamic.

This is also one of the wineries that allows you to bring your own picnic to enjoy on the sun-drenched patio. I love to make this a mid-point stop and enjoy some cured meats, cheeses, and baguette and share a bottle of my favorite Sinskey wine, the lovely Abraxas. Such a great idea! $15 of the $25 tasting fee is refundable with the purchase of two bottles of their reasonably priced wines. Definitely not to be missed during your Napa super happy fun time!
