Howell at the Moon Vineyards and Winery is on a 21 acre rural site at the top of Howell Mountain in Angwin. The administrative area consists of a 1000 sq. foot brick farmhouse built in 1923, and a 1600 sq. foot entertainment deck, with a professional outdoor kitchen, wood burning pizza oven, and swimming pool/hot tub, that can accomadate private tastings and parties.
“Good” isn’t a word Jayson Woodbridge, owner, vintner and visionary of Hundred Acre would use when it comes to his wines. His motto is clear and concise, “stand amongst the very best or not at all”; he’s spared no expense assembling one of Napa Valley’s most exciting wines. Accompanied by a team of Napa Valley’s brightest stars, Philippe Melka consultant (to the winemaking team) and Jim Barbour vineyard manager, Woodbridge has managed to create what Robert Parker has called, “a terrific example of great Napa Cabernet Sauvignon”

Hunnicutt is a family-owned winery in Napa Valley that specializes in producing small lots of Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Merlot, and Chardonnay. Established in 2002 by Justin Hunnicutt Stephens, the winery reflects his extensive experience in the wine industry, which he gained through part-time jobs in his youth as well as various roles in wine production, sales, and management early in his career. Situated on a hillside in the foothills of Napa’s eastern Vaca Range, Hunnicutt boasts an 18,000-foot network of caves carved into volcanic tuff. The winery's wines are crafted by Kirk Venge, a respected winemaker and close friend of Justin, and are sourced from distinctive estate vineyards in Napa Valley and Sonoma County.

When the Hunt Family set out to chase their winemaking dream, they embarked on an adventurous journey, exploring premium wine regions in Oregon, Washington, and California. After extensive travels, they landed in San Luis Obispo County, drawn to Paso Robles for its diverse soils, exceptional growing climate, and unique winemaking styles, all infused with a spirit of graciousness and traditional American values.
After scouring numerous properties, they discovered a stunning 550-acre gem on Highway 41 in Creston. This picturesque land met all their criteria, featuring varied elevations and soil compositions that echo the world’s greatest wine regions—perfect for growing exceptional, intense fruit for their wines.
The Hunts decided to name their vineyard “Destiny Vineyards” in honor of their baby girl, Destiny, who arrived in 1996. And if you ask her today, she’ll proudly tell you which wines reign supreme!
The vineyard’s inaugural planting included an impressive lineup: Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Franc, Viognier, and Zinfandel. To showcase their premium wines, the Hunts opened a charming tasting room in October 1999.
In 1997, they began producing their first memorable wine releases. The Hunt family quickly learned that great wines start with exceptional fruit. At Hunt Cellars, they pour passion and hard work into every bottle, ensuring that each wine embodies the varietal character, flavor, and velvety finish that has become their trademark.

Husch Vineyards is a small, family owned and operated winery. It is the oldest winery in the Anderson Valley appellation, located in Mendocino County (Northern California) just 2 1/2 hours north of San Francisco. The tasting room is in a hobbit cottage straight out of the Shire. Worth stopping just to see it. People were friendly. The wines were very earthy and herby, almost gamey. Definitely distinctive. The tasting is free, which is rare even in Anderson Valley, so you have nothing to lose but a little bit of time and room in your stomach for something else.
On a hillside overlooking Stags Leap District of Napa Valley in 1997, the Husic Family set out to realize a lifelong dream. Moving endless rocks and sculpting narrow terraces that cling to the mountain's edge, we planted three small vineyards which peacefully coexist with the region's wildlife. These rugged, rocky growing conditions, combined with careful farming methods, have yielded a limited amount of magnificent fruit.
Idle Hour Winery - This is a tasting studio where artwork and artisan wine meet. A small shop tucked away from the chaos, which makes it a good reprieve from everything going on outside. Although all of the wines are wonderful, be sure to try the Cab Franc if you get a chance. Idle Hour Winery in Carmel offers some excellent wines for your pleasure to be enjoyed in a cozy rustic atmosphere. Anna Marie Dos Remedios is the owner and winemaker with two tasting rooms, one in Carmel Valley and the other at the gateway to Yosemite in Oakhurst, CA where she produces her wine creations.~

A hobby gone wild! That is how Idle Hour Winery, formerly Panoche Valley Vineyards, got its start. Winemaker Anna Marie dos Remedios began making wine as a hobby to relieve the stress of her day job as a newspaper journalist/business owner. Anna Marie is focused on small lot, single-vineyard designated wines from some of California's best wine-growing regions. Anna Marie learned traditional winemaking methods from mentor and renowned Pinot Noir producer Josh Jensen at Calera Wine Company. At Idle Hour Winery the focus is on these traditional methods: native yeast fermentation, gravity flow racking and the use of neutral French Oak; all very gentle in nature, applying these to all the varieties Anna Marie ferments. While you will find all of the wines at Idle Hour Winery delightful, be sure to try the Reserve Tempranillo, Cabernet Franc and the Tannat Idle Hour Winery is located in Oakhurst, CA the gateway to Yosemite Park. Igneous Winery is the teamwork of the Huckfeldt family who own Huckfeldt Ranch Vineyard and legendary vineyard consultant David Abreu, arguably one of the most important figures in the Napa cult wine movement. Working with famous properties such as Harlan Estate, Colgin, Bryant Family, Sloan Estate and Spottswoode, David has helped to create some of the most sought after wines in world. Don and Ann Huckfeldt, longtime Napa Valley residents, created Igneous Wines in 2002.
