Mayo Family Winery

Mayo Family Winery produces small lots of single-vineyard wines under the premise that the world's most interesting and highest quality wines must come from a single-vineyard source that can be expressed in the wines' aroma, taste and texture. Founded in 1993, the winery has two winemaking facilities in Glen Ellen, California, each fitted and equipped to produce particular types of wines. Mayo Family wines are only sold online or in their tasting room attached to the winery in the town of Glen Ellen and their two other tasting rooms in Sonoma Valley.

We tasted some exceptional wine here and the customer service was great here. We were able to enjoy our tasting on their beautiful ground outside while snacking on some really nice cheeses, meats, and crackers that we brought along with us. They poured us some wines that were Members Only wines that we really fell in love with.

McClean Vineyards

The founder of McClean Vineyards grew up on fourteen picturesque acres of Syrah in Paso Robles, surrounded by everything he cherished: the fragrant grapes, the rolling hillsides, the dogs frolicking through the fields, and the stories shared over a glass of wine. He adored every aspect of vineyard life—except for the conventional wine bottles and their traditional labels. At the time, major winemakers both locally and globally adhered to a formulaic approach, featuring estate images, family crests, fences, and pathways to houses. To him, these labels felt monotonous and trapped in tradition.

Determined to represent wine authentically, McClean envisioned a different narrative.

Artisanal. Impactful. Vibrant. Beautiful. Dynamic. Fresh.

Through a combination of screen printing and introspective exploration, McClean found a way to blend his passion for art with his love of fine wine. Once he embarked on this creative journey, he never looked back.

For wine lovers visiting California's wineries, McClean Vineyards offers an exciting and fresh perspective on wine that goes beyond the bottle, celebrating the artistry and vibrancy of each vintage.

McConnell Estate Winery

The family story is about two families – one named McConnell and the other Wackman – that found their way to Elk Grove, California. The 5th generation from these founding families planted winegrapes in 1993 and began making wine on this historic property in 2002 for you to enjoy.

McDowell Valley Vineyards & Cellars

Nestled in the Mayacamas Mountains of southeastern Mendocino County, McDowell Valley Vineyards was established in 1970. This vineyard has one of the longest records of continuous wine grape production in California. Syrah and Grenache have been planted on this soil for almost a century, when the Buckman Family made a perfect match in planting Syrah and Grenache vines in the McDowell Valley. It is because of this rich history and distinct growing conditions that in 1982 McDowell Valley obtained one of the earliest BATF viticultural appellations. Today, of the 330 acres of grapes planted in the 500 acre valley, nearly a third are dedicated to Rhône varietals such as Syrah, Grenache, and Viognier.

McGrail Vineyards

A nice find as we were wine tasting in Livermore last weekend. As you drive into the parking lot, you immediately forget about everything since the grounds are so gorgeous. There's even an outside patio where you can enjoy your wine and a packed lunch you may have brought with you. The tasting room is HUGE! The staff was super friendly and helpful, especially since we'd never been to McGrail before though I have enjoyed their Cabernet Sauvginon before this visit.

McGrail Vineyards proudly sits high on the rolling hills of the Livermore Valley and offers wine tasting daily! Visit McGrail Vineyards for several wine tasting experiences or to enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the exceptional views.

Open daily from 11:00AM – 5:00PM, last reservation at 3:30PM. Reservations are available for groups up to 6 people. For parties over 6, please call the winery [925-215-0717].

McHenry Vineyard is a third-generation, family-run estate vineyard and winery located in Bonny Doon, CA. They have been producing wine for over 40 years. The first vineyards were planted in 1970, and the winery was commercially established in 1980. Situated at an elevation of 1,800 feet above the Pacific Ocean in the Santa Cruz Mountains, just north of Santa Cruz, CA, McHenry Vineyard occupies a sandy slope surrounded by redwood forest. Their wines cater to those seeking exquisite small-batch, hand-crafted Pinot Noir made in the Burgundian style.

CZU Fire Update

At this time we are not open to the public, but we will continue to sell wine.

Although we lost our winery facility (built in 1980) in the CZU Lightning Complex Fire in August 2020, our vines are still going strong and we plan to rebuild in the coming years. In the meantime, our wines will be made by the generous and highly capable hands of Ryan Beauregard at Beauregard Vineyards and John Benedetti of Sante Arcangeli Family Wines.

McIntyre Tasting Studio

Originally planted in 1973, the 80-acre McIntyre Estate Vineyard (with 60 acres planted) is home to some of the oldest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines in the Santa Lucia Highlands. Another estate property, the 81-acre Kimberly Vineyard in Arroyo Seco, complements the winery’s holdings. Proprietor Steve McIntyre, a highly knowledgeable viticulturist, also owns and operates Monterey Pacific, overseeing 16,000 acres of vineyards in Monterey County. The McIntyre Estate Vineyard was one of the first in the Santa Lucia Highlands to earn SIP (Sustainability In Practice) Certification.

The Santa Lucia Highlands AVA has quickly risen to prominence, with 6,000 acres of vines—primarily Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Syrah—thriving on the terraces below the Santa Lucia mountain range. The region benefits from a unique climate shaped by daily morning fog and strong winds channeled through the Salinas Valley from Monterey Bay. This combination gives the Santa Lucia Highlands one of California's longest and coolest growing seasons.

Had an excellent time here. The gentlemen doing the tasting was very personable and informative, I highly recommend.

McKahn Family Cellars

Grape Crossing Sign

McKahn Family Cellars the winemaker Charles McKahn took up working with wines at the age of 15 years old. Charles mother worked in the export department of a well know LIvermore winery Wente Vineyards when he was very young and his mothers work there made an impression on him. Winemaking seemed like an interesting career although he wouldn't be old enough to legally comsume it for a number of more years. Charles learned winemaking from the gound up. In addition to studying Enology at Cal Poly he did his fair share of blue collar work and he learned craft that is old and to be respected. McKahn Family Cellars has the word family in it for a reason. Charles, two of his parents and his wife work hard at carry on this family tradition of winemaking. When in Livermore Wine Country be sure to stop in and try their wonderful wines their Syrah being their flagship wine.
