When Jörg Rupf founded St. George Spirits in 1982, the concept of "craft distilling" didn't exist in America. At that time, there were fewer than 20 distilleries across the United States, a stark contrast to the more than 2,000 today. With his first batch of eau de vie on a 65-gallon pot still, Jörg didn’t just launch St. George Spirits; he ignited a movement. In the years that followed, he assisted countless other distillers in starting their own operations. Jörg’s legacy—producing spirits of uncompromising quality and pioneering the path for artisan distillers—endures in everything St. George Spirits does today.
