We are a small family winery, producing nearly 3,000 cases, with our two sons helping in the vineyards, harvest, and the production of our wines. All of our wines are crafted in small lots, with attention to every detail. The Inwood area of Shingletown is a beautiful agricultural community set in a small mountain valley. The area is home to a growing number of vineyards, but it still basically serene cattle and timber country. Wines found in any of the local stores and markets.

Alger Vineyards & Winery

Had a wonderful afternoon enjoying the variety of wines from this lovely little vineyard. John poured for us and took extra time to explain some of the complexities of the wines. The tasting room and outside deck area are tranquil and relaxing and the wines are excellent. Produces an outstanding Syrah!!

Tuscan Ridge Estate WInery

Lori & Jeff

Lori Silkey and Jeff Epperson are trying to do something different and it appears to be working well in Red Bluff, CA. In addition to producing so nice Old World style wines, Tuscan Ridge Estate Winery is a place where people can visit at special events or enjoy one another’s company while watching a game on the big screen TV as Lori and Jeff’s pour the fruits of their labor into your glass. Enjoy a quality glass of wine and just take a moment to enjoy a nice place to transport yourself to a little piece of Italy as you enjoy a glass of Zinfandel or Sangiovese. While it is clear that Jeff and Lori have been accepted by many of the locals and it is a fun and friendly winery to visit, these folks take their wine making seriously. The Mourvèdre, Syrah and Cab Franc were very nice as was the Merlot for the reds we tried. I decided to bring home the Sangiovese, which is very nice and I did not have any more Sangiovese in my collection. I also picked up a couple of TRE Bella Bubbly a nice nice and fruity and fresh wine that will make for a great cheese and wine party with a few friends, or just to enjoy by the glass. I am looking forward to trying the Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel next visit. If you find yourself driving through Red Bluff, don’t just drive through you, take a little break and visit Tuscan Ridged Estate Winery and you will be glad you stopped by. Be sure to let them know the folks at California Corks sent you.

Meredith Family Vineyards

red wine being poured in a glass

Located in Trinity County is Meredith Family Vineyards. The vineyards were planted on the historic Olsen Homestead and the first vines were planted in 1986. The vineyards consist of primarliy with plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sangiovese, with smaller plantings of Zinfandel, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc. Being on the inland side of the California Coast Range and at an elevation of about 1400 feet, with warm days and cool nights, allows the grapes to develop excellent color and flavor. All of the wines are made with the fruit grown at the vineyard. -

Grey Fox Vineyards

Before founding Grey Fox Vineyards in 1996, the Arrigoni and Cecchi families spent much of their free time pursuing their passion for flying small planes. It was on these getaways that conversations turned to dreams of planting a vineyard and building a winery. Bruce's family had a tradition of making wine at home and Gary had a good chemistry background. A seed was planted and it began to take hold.
