Cantiga Wine Works
Cantiga Wineworks! A small, family-operated winery based in the Sierra Foothills of California. Cantiga Wine Works is committed to recapturing the art of making wine that benefits from long periods of cellaring, and to crafting a food-friendly style, thus reclaiming wine’s rightful place on the dinner table.
Green Family Winery
What a delightful surprise Green Family Winery was for us. Must admit that at first we were a bit caught off guard by the bunker like and windowless tasting room we needed to enter. But what a great treat to discover that inside was the very interesting and charming Charlie with some of the most unique and tasty wines.
Estate d'lacobelli
Perched on a hilltop above the Pala Mesa Golf Resort, Estate d’Iacobelli features breathtaking views to accompany our wine selections. Come and join us at our intimate Italian-inspired tasting room. Drink some wine, play some bocce ball, and be Italian for a day.
Montevina Winery
This is a fun place to try some of the Terra d'Oro and Montevina wines you normally wouldn't find elsewhere to purchase. For everyday drinking, I'm a fan of these wines. These folks produce a lot of wines and it is a bit hard to do everyone right when you produce so many. However, you will find a few gems and it is a lovely winery to visit.
The Blue Door Winery
The winemaking philosophy and the techniques employed at Blue Door is a straightforward approach – keep it as simple and as natural as possible, then always fill it with passion and commitment.
Morovino
Morovino celebrates the Italian winemaking style by crafting smooth, easy-to-drink vintages that match perfectly with your favorite foods. From a classic Pinot Grigio to an unusual rich, velvety Dolcetto.
IL Cuore wine Cellars
IL CUORE (eel-quarry) means "The Heart" in Italian. The name is a tribute to the Italian immigrants who first planted the North Coast of California to vine in the late nineteenth century.
Highland Valley Vineyards
Highland Valley Vineyards is a boutique micro winery perched on the edge of beautiful Highland Valley in the San Diego foothills. On our hillside vineyards, we grow Bordeaux variety grapes and together with other fruit carefully selected, we hand style robust red wines. In 2007 we acquired our property in Highland Valley and in 2009 began construction on the winery and vineyard. Grapes have been grown in this valley for over a hundred years. As a nod to that long history, we named our vineyard/winery Highland Valley Vineyards and built the winery in 1920’s craftsman-style design.
We blend old craft with new technologies to hand style wines of character and distinction. Our special interest is big red wines with full body, a great finish but retaining nice fruit and nose. We have sourced our grapes from here in San Diego (South Coast), Mexico, Paso Robles (Central Coast), Amador County (Sierra Foothills), and Dry Creek Valley (Sonoma County North Coast).
Palmina Wines
Palmina is more than a winery. It is a philosophy, a passion and a strongly held belief that wine is an extension of the plate, a component of a meal and a means to bring people together. Formed by winemaker Steve Clifton in 1995, Palmina is named in honor of Steve’s great friend Paula. Like a grandmother to him, she taught Steve to love cooking, wine and the Italian lifestyle and was a spark in his life. After Paula succumbed to breast cancer, Steve found that her given name on her Italian birth certificate was Palmina, and the winery was thus fittingly named.
