Seven Angels Cellars

Seven Angels Cellars is a family-owned, boutique winery. Greg and Pamela Martin began making wine in 2009 with a small production of Petite Sirah. Greg is the owner/winemaker along with Pamela who handles social media, food pairings, wine club and club events, and the website. The story behind the name came from our passion for family. We have seven children in our blended family, our 7 angels.

We both grew up loving wine. Greg grew up in a rural area of California with neighbors who grew wine grapes. He spent a lot of time learning about the entire process from the vine to the bottle from his patient neighbor. He continued his interest in wine as a US Coast Guard when he was stationed in the bay area and had easy access to the multitude of wineries in Sonoma and Napa. Pamela comes from a family of foodies and wine enthusiasts. She took courses in college in winemaking and learned the biology aspect of wine. She worked in catering and on TV as a home economist for a cooking show. Pairing food and wine to create an interesting and delightful balance in a meal has become an obsession for her.

This family-owned winery specializes in Rhone blends as well as single varietals. Greg has his eyes, and hands in every aspect of the process from the field to the bottle. Pamela has the palate and the nose and is instrumental in the blending.

Flying Suitcase Wines

A wonderful little urban winery in San Carlos, CA. It was so nice to be able to speak with the owner Vikki Vinther and her associates while visiting wineries in the area (short video). A good variety of flavorful and enjoyable wines awaits you. Flying Suitcase Wines is a small, family-run winery owned and managed by Vikki and Anders Vinther producing around 1000 cases per year. The winery name is a nod to winemaker Anders’ Danish heritage and is inspired by a Hans Christian Andersen fairytale of the same name. Flying Suitcase Wines produces a range of varietals specializing in Syrah. This urban winery houses a unique tasting room with a homely vibe.  Family-friendly too!  There is a kids’ play area so you can bring the little ones. Please tell Vikki "hello" for us at CaCorks when you stop by. California Corks members welcome!~

Dono Dal Cielo Vineyards

The greatest pleasure of these wines is visiting the winery in person. Karen, Bill and Hunter, the family behind this delicious brand, are nothing less than welcoming and feel like family as you exit. While they have continued to produce the dominant Zin for the region they have expanded with branded Sav Blancs, Chards and even a Rosé. While many boutique wineries focus odd blends, high tannins and a focus on eclectic palates, Dono dal Cielo hones in on very "drinkable" wines.

Cache Creek Vineyards & Winery

Discover Cache Creek Vineyards & Winery and the Land Bill “Poppo” Van Pelt, our father and grandfather.  Bill vowed to keep the land as a sanctuary for the elk. Several ponds around the property serve as water sources for waterfowl, otters, beaver, wild turkeys, deer, and elk. Owl boxes placed throughout the vineyard provide a natural method of gopher control.

Alapay Cellars

Alapay owners Scott and Rebecca Remmenga are passionate about their wines and giving each customer personalized attention within an approachable, relaxing, non-intimidating setting. Alapay does not distribute to wholesalers, restaurants or wine shops, so you will only find these special wines in their seaside wine cellar. They pride themselves on being part of the total wine production process and being "hands-on winemakers".

Kesner Wines

All French cooperage is used for aging, with 15-30% being new barrels. All of the wines are aged on their lees, and then are racked and blended only once before bottling, in order to bring together the individual characters of each of the barrels. The wines are overwintered and bottled after approximately 16 months. Vintage to vintage variations are encouraged as the hope is that the growing season leaves a heavier print on the wine than does the hand of the winemaker.

Castello Di Amorosa

This is one of Napa's most memorable wineries - and the newest. It took more than half a decade to build and involved hand masonry by Italian artisans. Why? Because Castello is truly a castle. A Medieval, stone castle.... with a moat!
