Capay Valley Vineyards was established in 1998 by Tom Frederick and Pam Welch, long time residents of Capay Valley, CA. This beautiful valley is located in the northwest corner of Yolo County bordering Napa and Lake counties. It is approximately 1½ hours from San Francisco and an hour from Sacramento. Capay Valley Vineyards produces wines from their own grapes. Varietals were chosen to complement the climate and soils. All vineyard tasks - pruning, shoot thinning, and harvesting are done by hand and tailored to each variety. Harvesting is done at night to ensure that the fruit is cool to start the winemaking process.

As of April 2002, a familiar Paso Robles wine label has a place on the map—literally. After nearly a decade of learning the art of winegrowing and winemaking, Alex and Monica Villicana opened their Westside Paso Robles tasting room, providing a home for their handcrafted, award-winning wines and a destination for fans of the label.

The Villicana label owes its existence to an unsuccessful culinary school endeavor. After college, Alex decided to pursue his interest in food and wine by enrolling in a culinary program. When the school failed to open, he shifted his focus to winemaking, taking a job working the harvest at a local Paso Robles winery in 1990 and enrolling in viticulture and enology classes at U.C. Davis.

In 1992, Alex was offered the chance to hand-harvest some Gamay grapes leftover from a mechanical harvest at a local vineyard. He eagerly accepted and made his first wine, catching the winemaking bug. In 1993, he was in the right place at the right time when he was offered three tons of Cabernet Sauvignon fruit from the renowned Tchelistcheff vineyard in the Adelaida hills. Fortunate enough to secure fruit from that vineyard again in 1994, Alex became captivated by Paso Robles—not only for its high-quality fruit but also for the cooperative spirit and energy of the local winemakers.

Wilson Creek Vineyards benefits from its diverse terrain, rich soil, and unique micro-climate, all contributing to an ideal growing environment. However, it is the time-tested, hands-on family approach that has distinguished Wilson Creek among Temecula vineyards, earning it prestigious awards. Recognized by Temecula Valley Wine Growers and reviewed favorably by thousands on platforms like TripAdvisor and Yelp from around the globe, Wilson Creek owes its distinctive flavor to the collective contributions of many. This commitment drives Wilson Creek to maintain its standing as one of the premier vineyards in Temecula.

The Ojai Vineyard, owned by Adam and Helen Tolmach, works closely with a dozen different vineyards on the Central Coast of California and produces wines from syrah, grenache, mourvedre, pinot noir, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc and viognier. About 6000 cases are produced each year, divided between 15 bottlings, most of which are vineyard designated wines.
