SL Cellars is one of the smaller wineries in the Sonoma Valley and just sits right off of the 12. SL is an old school house transformed into a Wine Tasting Room. It has a nice come here and sit for a while feels and a nice little park area that you can go to for a light lunch. SL Cellars specializes in Sparkling Wine. They had some of the betters ones I tasted this weekend. The had an almond and raspberry sparkling wine that is worth the stop and tasting.
Here is a boutique winery in the Shasta Cascade area in Palo Cedro just a few minutes east of Redding, CA. Old 44 grows just under 4 acres of estate fruit for their wines. David Girard Vineyards is nestled in the Sierra foothills near where the south fork of the American River gave up its gold in 1849. Cactus Star Vineyard crafts its wine from grapes grown on the vineyard premises and occasionally from grapes obtained from other Ramona Valley vineyards within the RVA appellation. On-premise grape varieties are: Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Malbec.

Famous over the years for Weibel Green Hungarian, now known as GH, and their line of California champagnes and naturally flavored sparkling wines, Weibel Family Wines also include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, and Syrah from their Estate Vineyard in Mendocino County, California.
Roche is a great spot for a glass of wine or a tasting in Sonoma. I've brought nearly every visitor/friend I've had, here, because of its proximity to the square and its fantastic outdoor tasting bar. Very quaint and dainty! For $5.00 you can taste all the wines. You can sit outside, and for the brisk afternoons they have fire pits at the tables. The estate chardonay was crisp and slightly sweet. The cab was nice. The Syrah was robust and peppery. Late harvest chardonay close to amazing.
The vineyards at Cardella Ranch were first panted in the 1970's and have been sold to premier California wineries ever since. Nathan Cardella, 4th generation, after graduating from the Enology and viticulture program at Fresno State in 204, founded Cardella Winery with his father Rod. Nathan and Rod believed premium artisan wines were lacking n the San Joaquin Valley and felt that the Cardella family could help fill this niche. Today the winery producs numerous award-winning varieties and has earned a reputation for being a cut above.
