Situated in the East Bay of San Francisco, owners Kevin and Barbara invite visitors to Riggers Loft, their scenic winery, tasting room, and wine bar in the Port of Richmond, Point Richmond. Here, guests can enjoy a blend of delicious wines and vibrant music in one of the most welcoming communities in the area.

As lifelong musicians, Kevin and Barbara recognize that, much like music, wine is crafted to be shared—whether with old friends, new acquaintances, or the world at large. To suit a variety of tastes and personalities, they offer several varietals at different price points. Riggers Loft is their dream: a place where music and wine harmonize beautifully. The experience is made even more memorable with a sweeping 270-degree view of the San Francisco Bay.

The people in the tasting room were all very pleasant and cheerful - and really seemed to enjoy what they were doing. VERY nice and welcoming atmosphere. Wines were GREAT!

It was the dream of a young Dutch immigrant to cultivate quality grapes and produce exceptional wines. After arriving in the United States shortly after World War II, John Van Ruiten Sr. settled in the Lodi area. His aspiration to own land became a reality in the early 1950s when, through his own hard work, he purchased his first vineyard property. He planted Zinfandel vines and began growing wine grapes in the Lodi Appellation.

The Van Ruiten family believes that hard work and an unwavering commitment to producing top-quality grapes and award-winning wines are the cornerstones of their business.

Five decades later, the Van Ruitens farm over 800 acres of wine grapes, with only their finest fruit destined to bear the family name. After more than fifty years, their ambition was realized with the construction of the Van Ruiten Family Winery, completed just before the 2000 harvest. Now, two generations of the Van Ruiten family work together to tend the vineyards and manage the winery.

Stephen Storrs and Pamela Bianchini-Storrs begn Storrs winery with their first harvest n 1988. Both are trained winemakers at UC Davis, they have wrked at a number of wineries which include Domaine Chandon, Felton-Empire and Almaden before starting their own venture. Stephen and Pamela appreciate the cool Burgundian climate of the Santa Cruz Mountains. This winery grew to a comfortable 10,000 cases per year and in 2001 realized a dream with the purchase of land in Pleasant Valley district of Corralitos.
