Lone Buffalo Vineyards

Lone Buffalo Vineyards, launched in 2007 in Auburn, CA is the culmination of owner and winemaker Phil Maddux’s thirty-five year passion for wine making. The buffalo's power and resilience in the face of encroaching civilization symbolizes hope and renewal for humanity and harmony among all people. Here in the Sierra foothills, Lone Buffalo Vineyards symbolizes this same hope and renewal with its contribution to the re-emergence of the wine-making tradition in Placer County.

Tom Eddy

The first vintage of Tom Eddy Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon was 1991, but Tom’s experience in the wine industry goes back farther than that. He earned the U.C. Davis degree in 1974, did his requisite stint in a few big wineries, then settled into the North Coast as general manager and winemaker at Souverain Winery in Geyserville.

The accolades for his wines started to follow, for everything from North Coast French Colombard to Sonoma County Zinfandel.

Galleo E&J Winery

Since brothers Ernest and Julio Gallo began to turn their dream into reality over 75 years ago, the roots of the Gallo family tree have extended deep into the Winery. Today their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren work in the Winery, carrying on the family tradition and values

Beuregards Vineyards

In 1945 retired Sheriff Deputy Amos Beauregard purchased 157 acres of which 13 acres have been planted with winegrapes. Cabernet Saugivgon, Chardonnay, Zinfandel and an old grape know as Charabono were originally planted in 1880. Over the years Jim Beuregard has planted hundreds of acres of vines throughout the Santa Cruz Mountains and still maintains his 68 acres of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon. Jim and his family live on the estate and Ryan Beauregard is the Winemaker.

Hughes Family Vineyards

Keith and Cherie Hughes pursued a shared vision in 2001 with the purchase of two organic vineyards in Glen Ellen, California. Initially, their intention was to grow exceptional fruit, a goal that evolved into making superb wines that reflect the unique terroir of their land. Hughes Family Vineyards is a boutique winery producing premium Zinfandel, Syrah, Rose' and Chardonnay wines made exclusively from the grapes grown in our certified organic vineyards in Glen Ellen, California.

Fanucchi Vineyards

The Fanucchi Wood Road Vineyard has the only block of Trousseau Gris (Troo-so-gree) in California & the wine and Fanucchi Vineyards has craft from it has a crisp, clean, flowery bouquet with flavors of fresh peaches, honeysuckle, pear, melon, delicate spice and tropical fruit flavors which makes it a delightful compliment to a wide array of foods. Compare its "nose" to Viognier or Marsanne, with a gentler spice than a dry Gewürztraminer & far, far, more fruit than the best Pinot Gris could ever hope for!

Rued Vineyards & Winery

The tasting room host was very sweet and hospitable. All of the wines were good and VERY reasonably priced, but the one wine that stood out the most to me was the late harvest sauvignon blanc. Late harvest sauv blanc is not an easy wine to come by, giving Rued brownie points in my book! It's a lusciously sweet wine that's reminiscent of ripe yellow peaches and honey.

Midnight Cellars

Midnight Cellars, home to the Hartenberger family and their small production of award-winning Paso Robles wines. Twenty eight acres of hilly, rocky, limestone-rich and south facing slopes are dedicated to growing quality, low-yield, sustainably farmed Bordeaux grapes. In addition to the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot varietals, are Zinfandel and Chardonnay. Known for their gigantic Merlot, Midnight Cellars also makes some of the best “Paso Roblan blends.”

Widhurst Vineyard

The name evokes the spreading California native oaks that dot the vineyard acreage and the zest for nature and simple living that characterize the lovely rural area of Lake County. In this spirit, Wildhurst makes direct, hand-crafted wines.
