The story of the Winery begins at the vineyard. Located in the heart of Temecula’s Wine Country, off of Calle Contento, the vineyard stretches across a 20 acre parcel where the Patels, Winemaker Renato Sais, and the winery staff give the vines the upmost care all year long. Working together, learning and understanding viniculture, curating the perfect grape & vine, and learning the wine business have become a huge passion for the team. 100% estate grown & single vineyard, Akash wines are developed with passion and sophistication. The wines showcase familiar varietals in contemporary, eye catching packaging, and are crafted with consistency of style and quality across all vintages. The Akash Winery & Vineyards tasting room officially opened mid 2019, though the Patels also hope to open a resort, spa, events venue, and bed & breakfast in the coming years.

They pride themselves on being part of the total wine production process and being "hands-on winemakers".

The Zmarzly Family Vineyards and Albertina are in the hills 4 miles west of the town of Hopland, on a small county road. The high elevation (1250 to 1600 feet) offers a chance to see 25 mile views of the hills, valleys and nearby mountain ranges. The views are thrilling, especially the one from the knoll, a tree-studded hill within the vineyard.
Albini Family Vineyards only sell two kinds of wine - Zinfandel and Merlot. Wine tasting in Temecula is quaint and charming. Drive a little more than an hour up north from San Diego, and you're there. Alex and his wife both run the place and they are the sweetest, cutest old German couple. Alex's wife introduced all the wine with tender graciousness that gave this small mom-and-pop winery a real sense of splendor.
Alexander & Wayne is very nice winery in the Santa Ynez Valley. They have a wonderful portfolio of Central Coast wines, while their sister winery, Arthur Earl, focuses on Old World varietals. Nancy, who oversees both tasting rooms and writes the Wine Club newsletters, is always a conversational delight.
Andrew Murray fell in love with the emerging Rhône varieties, Syrah and Viognier, in the late 1980’s while traveling through France’s Rhône Valley. Leaving his UC Berkeley paleontology studies behind, he pursued his new mistress, Syrah, with an internship in Australia. As Robert Parker, Jr. put it, “…Andrew Murray’s offerings are a breath of fresh air given their exceptionally high quality and realistic prices – reader take note.
