Andrew Murray Vineyards

Andrew Murray fell in love with the emerging Rhône varieties, Syrah and Viognier, in the late 1980’s while traveling through France’s Rhône Valley. Leaving his UC Berkeley paleontology studies behind, he pursued his new mistress, Syrah, with an internship in Australia. His three-month tryst evolved into a 15-month romance with the famed Australian Shiraz. Returning to the states, he earned a bachelor’s degree in viticulture and enology from UC Davis’ renowned wine program, then founded his eponymous Santa Ynez winery and vineyard.

Angelica Cellars

The stylistic goal of Angelica Cellars is to produce outstanding wines with honest varietal characteristics that proudly express their place of origin. Sourcing grapes from the esteemed (and sustainably farmed) White Hawk Vineyard in the Los Alamos Valley in Santa Barbara makes. The cool climate from the Pacific Ocean creates a perfect home for even-ripening grapes. The porous sandy soils push the roots of the vineyard to dig down deep for their drink of water and, consequently, pull up incredible minerality and complexity in flavor. Low yields, a minimal cold-soak, and native fermentation encourage the wine to be what it was meant to be with little intervention. So what might you expect from Angelica Cellars?

Angelica's website seems to not be operative at the time of this listing. We will edit this listing in the future for this Mico-boutique winery as we can.

Angelo Wine Company

The focus at Angelo Wine Company are the unique varietals used to produce their wines. This winery works closely with small vineyards n Los Angels County in the remote areas of Agua Dulce and the Antelope Valley. From these vineyards come wine-grapes such as Tannat, Graciano, Godello, Loureiro, Treixadura and Alicante Bouchet. These are early harvested fruit to preserve the natural acidity in the grapes. The results are wines that are elegant and express the unique character of a unique growing regiion where desert meets the sea. *

Annapolis Winery

The vineyards were planted in 1978, replacing an old apple orchard. After farming for several years, Basil Scalabrini began making wine commercially. With no winery, the first wine was made in a redwood grove at the top of the hill, a 1986 Cabernet Sauvignon… It was a good one! The Scalabrini family built the winery in 1987, and began making wine from each vintage thereafter. A family owned and operated, and the family is involved in every phase of the wine growing process. At Annapolis Winery the focus is on quality, not quantity and the winery produce a very small amount of wine, taking personal care at each step of the process. The results are wines that are naturally lush and intense.

Anomaly Vineyards

I would like to recommend a great boutique winery in St. Helena called Anomaly Vineyards. This is a small family owned winery that does one wine (cabernet) and does it very well. Absolutely amazing small production winery. Call or email in advance for an intimate and relaxed appointment with the passionate and knowledgeable staff, Seth was fantastic. This is a Cab only winery... so make sure you're a fan of the big red. The wines are not inexpensive, but well worth it. -
