Quiet, nice little place by our hotel (Andaz Napa). Good place to go for a quick bite and maybe a little wine, nice since it's open late and convenient. Nice ambiance. Wine is spectacular. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Definitely check this place out if you are wondering around downtown Napa.
We popped into this beautiful tasting room. The lady behind the counter was very informative and sweet, and understood that we were in a bit of a time crunch so she poured our wines quickly while still giving us explanations of the grapes that were used to produce each wine. I thought the wines here were very different because they were blends of grapes grown in different regions. Larkmead puts out some of the finest Cabs and Sauv Blancs in the valley. The vineyard itself is beautiful, located right on the valley floor. Sonny treated us great, explaining the winemaking process and the unique history behind Larkmead. Not to be missed if you are in Napa. The Larkmead Vineyards tasting room is open from 10am to 3pm, by appointment.

The staff was great and wines are amazing. Vicky was very warm and welcoming. We went on a Friday evening it was busy but still attentive to our needs.One of the bigger wineries, open to the public, that gets a lot of foot traffic. But heck, the wines are great! so no complaining. Some really unique blends mixed in with the more traditional. Their at the vineyard only Gewurztraminer was heaven and the Ridiculous Red plus some good Cabs and solid Sauvignon Blanc.

A single vineyard estate that produces an ultra premium pinot noir from their 10,000 vines planted on 1.75 acres. Cloud Rest is situated at a lofty 1250 ft. on Sonoma Mountain in the Sonoma Coast AVA. Cloud Rest believes bottle aging their Pinot Noir for a minimum of 3 years, after resting in French Oak for 1 1/2- 2 years is the right thing to do before releasing it. Cloud Rest just recently added a Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Cloud Rest's goal is to consistently produce world class wines that make great memories.
As often happens with family-run wineries, Moonstone Cellars started in the basement of Todd Clift and his dad Muril. The hobby quickly got out of control and became a full-time passion. This little gem has won about 500 wards for his creations, working with California Coastal Grapes. The tasting room is just blocks from where it all started in Cambria and offers to delight your palate with a lighter style Grenache, a full-bodied Zinfandel, a Cabernet Sauvignon Blanc, and a dry Gewurztraminer. You can even reserve a room right above the tasting room to spend the night! How convenient. There is a little something for everyone at Moonstone Cellars - a great little stop right in the heart of Cambria's West Village.~
