Cabernet Franc

Wilson Winery

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lovely patio. Terrific events. They have a fantastic patio for sipping wines and catching up with family or friends. It's a very nice photo op, and their two cutie dogs wander around looking for new friends.

Broken Earth Winery

Painting by Agata Zaborowski

The story of Broken Earth begins at Continental Vineyards. A 2500-acre parcel of land quietly harboring stories of hard-working caballeros, cattle barons, and grape growers whose dedication and vision shaped this place.

Originally named Rancho Tierra Rejada “Land of worked earth”, it is the determination of those who preceded us, and our care for this land that makes our wines unique. Our wines are bold representations of the place where they were born. Crafted with minimal intervention to reflect the soil, fruit, and character of this place.

Corte Riva Vineyards

Romel Rivera is an awesome winemaker. Besides making his own wine, he is the assistant winemaker at Pride Mountain Vineyard under the tutelage of renown winemaker king Bob Foley.
Romel's wines are big, luscious, fruit forward, long lingering finishes, complex. The taste goes on and on. Powerful muscular wines. Best are his cabernet sauvignon, petite syrah, and merlots.

San Marcos Creek Vineyard

This winery feels like home. Gracing the driveway is a pond overlooking the beautiful vineyards; you would not know you were close to the highway when you are here. Entering the winery there is a pretty vast selection of tastings on the menu. We did not taste one that we did not like and it made deciding on just a few bottles so hard! This tasting room was beautiful and I truly could have stayed all day here .. and night ! There is a Crush Pad on site! A lovely little cottage sits a top the hill on the vineyard and has four rooms for guests!

Longshadow Ranch Winery

Their grounds and their horses are beautiful. They have a lovely outdoor area with a couple of picnic tables that you can sit out under the big shade trees and enjoy a glass of wine. They have 3 places to taste Complete with a TV behind the bar. -a small tasting room adjacent to their lawn area -outdoor bar in the lawn area But once you've tasted a few times, you'll do what we do... Just buy a bottle or two or three, take it out to one of their many picnic tables on the lawn and enjoy. Unless they are having a special event, they're usually fine guests bringing a picnic basket of food. In the summers, they usually have live bands on Friday and Saturday nights, which provides hours of entertainment. This place is great if you're looking for a casual, relaxing place to enjoy some great wine. I highly recommend their white merlot, muscat and tempranillo! Another great choice for Temecula Wine Country wine tasting - hoe to see you at Longshadow Ranch Winery one day soon!

Archipel Winery

Authentically Californian in spirit, Archipel expresses the greatness of the ancient Mayacamas Mountain soils in a truly contemporary wine style. Bold and assertive with an approachable velvety texture, Archipel delivers vibrant plum and spice flavors enhanced by French and American oak barrel aging. One of the primary winemaking tehniques used is called "cold soak". Instead of fermenting the grapes immediatly after harvest, fruit is placed in stanless steel tanks and held for 5-6 days at a temperature of 44 degrees Fahrenheit. This period of cold soaking allows grape skins to maintain contact with the juice for deep color and flavor extraction.

Captain Vineyards

Captain Vineyards is perched above the Moraga valley, overlooking St. Mary's College on one side and beautiful rolling hills on the other.call or visit their website to schedule a wine tasting, or to buy a bottle of wine!

Titus Vineyards

f you can get an appointment here, I highly suggest doing it. A lot of the valley wineries are commercial and push sales and have tons of tourists - not here! This is a laid back, family owner, quality one on one experience. We arrived and were the only ones there and were greeted by our tour guide and his dog 29 (aptly named after the highway that runs through Napa). We sat on a bench outside the old house that serves as their headquarters and enjoyed many of their wines and their homegrown olive oil. A small family winery on the Silverado Trail. Just love their reds. Great Deal ! ! Wines are underpriced at least 30%, and no charge for tasting. You need to call for an appointment and it is a little hard to find but worth it.
