Pride Mountain

man taking barrel sample

We booked the 10am tour and tasting. For $15 I was very impressed. The tour was about an hour and a half. We started in the front tasting room, went outside to the vineyards, to the caves where they store the barrels and finally to the room with the tanks. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. She was willing to answer any questions we had. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants the full winery experience!

Drinkward Peschon

woman sipping wine

Entre Deux Mères, which translates from French as "Between Two Mothers," was founded on a friendship sparked by their children and nurtured through a shared love of wine, work, and play.

In September of 2000, they were fortunate to secure a few tons of Cabernet Sauvignon from a small grower in Oakville. The grapes were hand-picked, carefully sorted, and then crushed and fermented in small lots, marking the beginning of their venture. Their approach to winemaking mirrors their philosophy on raising children – providing tender loving care, nurturing always, and then allowing the wine to express itself and become the unique creation it was meant to be. They believe that their gentle handling and minimalist intervention in winemaking produces wines that are elegant and balanced, truly expressing their origins.

As they enter their 22nd year, their children are all grown up, but their project remains true to its original vision: small, hands-on, and honest. They credit their success to the hard work and dedication of their growers and the vineyard workers whose labor they deeply respect and admire. This commitment, they believe, is reflected in the quality of their wine.

River Star Vineyards

River Star Vineyards consist of approximately 80 acres, family owned and operated. River Star is dedicated and committed to providing top wineries throughout California that purchase their superlative fruit. In the late 1990’s, the decision was made to transform the River Star facility and begin producing wines in addition to growing their top-quality vineyards. The 2001 Syrah was their debut red. Additional production of Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon varietals completes the portfolio of initial offerings for the River Star family of wines. At River Star not only realize that it takes great fruit to make great wine, they grow those winegrapes themselves.

Philip Togni Vineyards

bottles and glasses of wine

Most of the 2000 case annual production is sold to a mailing list on a first-come basis. Part of each offering is a very limited amount of the Cabernet made ten years earlier, as an illustration of the ageworthiness of our wine. The balance is split between a broad but thin presence in many of the well known wine stores in the U.S., and a definite presence in almost all European countries together with the principle Asian markets.

Dreyer Sonoma

ripe clusters of grapes

Farming in California for over 70 years, the Dreyer family has been growing grapes and making wine for three generations.  Jonathan Dreyer, third generation family winemaker, now manages the family business producing wines under the Dreyer Sonoma, Compass, Solitude, Il Cuore, and Seabiscuit Ranch brands.

Chase Family Cellars

glasses of red, blush, and white wines

Excellent Zinfandel and equally excellent Zinfandel Port. I believe they also make a Zin chocolate sauce for those of you with a sweet tooth. Now they're a bit off the beaten path but completely worth visiting. It's rare that you get the combination of excellent people and wine like this while also avoiding the tourist crush that is much of Napa. I highly recommend calling them up and experiencing it yourself. I know I'll be back the next time I'm headed that way.

T-Vine Cellars

glasses of red wine and grape clusters

T-Vine was founded in 1992 with a passion for making small lots of big juicy wines – specializing in old vines: Grenache, Zinfandel and Petite Sirah.  Highly recommend calling in your reservation, but walk-ins are welcome.

PureCru

Stop by this charming boutique off the beaten path in downtown Napa for a wonderfully personalized experience! The wines are delicious, the atmosphere is casual but trendy, and they have a great partnership with the Michelin rated restaurant next door- you can skip the line there and have a plate delivered right to the tasting room! Definitely worth a visit.
