Corison Winery

The Corison Winery, in its timeless Victorian-style barn, is situated in the heart of Cathy's beloved Kronos Vineyard. With eight acres planted exclusively to St. Georges rootstock, Kronos is a historic treasure. As one of the last old Cabernet Vineyards in the Napa Valley, it is one of the few vineyards to have produced world class fruit continuously for more than four decades. Farmed organically and growing on gravelly loam soils, the gnarly old veterans produce scant yields that result in wines of rare concentration and refinement. They are juicy with blackberry and plum fruit and complex with a mineral note and exquisite violet perfume.

Cornerstone Cellars

Cornerstone/Stepping Stone didn't disappoint and ended up with a fantastic wine tasting experience from start to finish. Its small, but tasteful wine room makes you feel as if you are being welcomed to the vinter's home. Its cozy tables and bar tables offer some fantastic pours with a plethora of wines whether it is syrah, sauvignon blanc, or syrah. However, it is their cabernet that truly shines. Yet everyone's taste is different and while your experience might be different, I certainly think it is worth the experience.

The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. They aren't pushy, however they explain the nuances between each wine they have crafted and what sets it apart from other wineries in the area. Prices are rather reasonable with a its higher price Cornerstone wines and its "price friendly" Stepping Stone series.

Certainly a great wine room when you are on a tour of Napa!

Cosentino Winery

We were immediately greeted by Steve with a big smile. He took our group to a semi-private room to the right of the entrance. We all got the special reserve tasting and enjoyed all the reds - so much that I ended up buying a bottle of each one, oops! The tasting pours were very generous.

Couloir Wines

Couloir Wines & Straight Line Wine celebrates the grandeur of California viticulture while finding inspiration and stylistic direction from traditional western European winemaking. The wines are effusive with aromatic intensity and complexity without being overly concentrated.

his is a new producer with the 2007 vintage of Anderson Valley Pinot Noir. The founder and winemaker is Jon Grant, who is also the assistant winemaker at Turley Wine Cellars. Grant has learned his trade at several notable wineries including PlumpJack Winery, Corison Winery, and Robert Mondavi Winery. While a tour guide at Robert Mondavi Winery, he first visited the Anderson Valley in 1997.

Covenant Wines

At Covenant, we believe fine wine creates a special bond between people who love wine and share a respect for tradition. That’s what brought vintner Leslie Rudd and winemaker/writer Jeff Morgan together to craft what Robert Parker has called “the greatest kosher wine on Planet Earth.”

Crane Brothers Syrah

Crane Brothers as the name of the winery suggests, is owned and operated by two brothers Michael and Rob Crane who are third generation natives to the Napa Valley. Both have many years experience of being home winemakers and in the mid 90's purchased land in the Oak Knoll district and planted several varietals including Syrah, Merlot and Caberrnet Sauvignon. As they will tell you, they took the "long road" to becoming commercial winemakers and managing their own vineyards! Michael works in real estate and the Rob is a hospitality manager at Sterling Vineyards. Rob has grown up in and around the wine industry with his first winery job in the cellar at the old Christian Brothers Winery in 1970.

Crane Family Vineyards

Crane offers some excellent reds in a beautiful, unassuming, and unpretentious format. Your proprietor, Tom Crane, a second generation owner/grower, will sit out on the lovely porch and describe each one of his wonderful wines. No pressure to buy here; the wines sell themselves. Tom offers a Cab, Merlot, a Bordeaux blend called Allison's cuvee (named after the winemaker), and a Port all at good prices.
While the estate is small and lacks the flash and polish of larger operations, the hospitality and great wines more than made up for it. If you are the adventurous type and want to go off the beaten path for a warm Napa afternoon at a boutique winery, by all means give Tom a call.

Crocker & Starr

If you are going to the grocery store wineries--then this isn't a place for you. Please only go here if you love the complex nature of what wine has to offer. This is a haven for people who really enjoy, appreciate, and want to learn more about what wine has to offer. This isn't a taste and dash. This is savor and reflection.
Not only is the wine great, but so was the tour given by Mark. I was really impressed with this winery and the friendliness of the staff. I would definitely come here again.

Croze Wines

Croze Wines is operated by Gary Wooten, a long time resident in the Napa Valley. He has worked as winemaker with several smaller area wineries during their formative stages and helped them become established. He currently runs two labels; Croze wines which includes a Cabernet Sauvignon and a Sauvignon Blanc and the second label, Smith Wooten featuring a 100% Cabernet Franc (he originally made a barrel of Cabernet Franc to use for blending purposes but after tasting, found this wine to be excellent as a stand along varietal and ended up bottling it) and a Syrah.
Croze ages their wines longer than many area wineries and as a result the current vintages are typically several years older than what you usually find on the market. The barrel aging program usually runs up to 40+ months and all the wines are tasted during this time and are removed from barrel when they are ready, in other words the barrel aging program is not locked into a certain amount of time like you may find with some of the larger wineries.

Culler Wines

Culler Wines was started in 1997 by Karen Culler, and remains a one person operation to this day. Karen produces Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah from outstanding vineyards throughout Napa and Sonoma, and bottles the wines under the Culler and Casaeda labels. All the vineyards are handpicked and tended to showcase the microclimate of the area and to produce beautiful wines of balance, longevity and power. Culler Wines are small production wines and Karen spends her "free time" also making great wines for Ladera, Wolf Family Vineyards, Renteria, Rivera Vineyards, Probst and Gianonne Vineyards.
