Roudon Smith

The Roudons conceived the original dream as a radical lifestyle change, when they moved to the Bay Area in the early 1970's. Roudon met engineer Jim Smith in the early days of the growing computer industry while working together at Silicon Valley's Amdahl and began sharing his plans for a small winery to be established in the nearby Santa Cruz Mountains. Dreams soon led to action. As the Roudon Smith reputation grew, the two couples eventually took the leap, quit jobs, moved fortunes and families to the Santa Cruz Mountains and never looked back. Today, Al Drewke has taken over ownership of the continuing Roudon Smith saga, continuing to focus on creating well balanced and structured wines that will integrate well with food and develop slowly in bottle.~

Wolf Family Vineyards

Wolf Family Vineyards offers four estate grown wines in artisanal quantities hand made by Karen Culler in the small winery and cave on the estate: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc and Phaedrus, a blend from the youngest vines on the property. A fortuitous combination of the demanding standards of the winemaker and the family’s “no compromises” philosophy results in wine that pleases the collector’s long term palate. Total winery production averages 1000 cases per year.

Crystal Basin Cellars

Like a good number of California wineries Crystal Basin Cellars has its roots in amateur cooperative winemaking. Beginning under the house in 1981, Cyrstal Basin Cellars created a long string of vintages that captured fun times with friends. Steadily growing from 3 barrels to 25, Cyrstal Basin Cellars outgrew its space and was formed as a commercial winemaking operation in 2000. Since then, Crystal Basin Cellars has produced more than 10,000 cases of wine that have been eagerly devoured by their fans and the winemakers. Each vintage has won at least one Gold Medal in major competitions. with that being said may we suggest that you be sure to try the El Dorado Barbera and Cabernet Franc if you are serious about your Reds.

La Jota Vineyard Co

La Jota wines are handcrafted at their original 1898 fieldstone winery and hillside cave. From the low yielding vines of 28 mountain acres, La Jota produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and our crown jewel, the annual Heritage Release Cabernet Sauvignon.
La Jota Vineyard was made world-famous by W.S. Keyes who founded this Howell Mountain region in the 1890s and pronounced it as the ideal source for bold, full-bodied and long aging wines. The volcanic soils of La Jota, high attitude and elevation a well as the cooler climate of this unique vineyard site has continued to yield wines of great fruit intensity, structure and aging potential.

La Jota Vineyard Company continues to craft Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlots from Howell Mountain that are exceptionally bold, long-aging and full-bodied wines.

Quaking Hills Winery

Quaking Hills Winery is owned and operated by Joanne and Keith Collard. It is situated near the Russian River on Hidden Spring Vineyard (“HSV”). The 36 acre site is in the heart of the Alexander Valley in northern Sonoma County. The rolling hills of the property make for perfect hillside growing conditions. The winery uses only fruit from HSV for all of its wines.

Carrefour Vineyards

A small Napa Valley winery owned by a dentist and an airline pilot, Greg and Marilyn Nitz. Carrefour is the French name for "crossroads" or a "meeting place" which paints a perfect picture of the owners' food, wine and friends lifestyle.

The estate 18-acre vineyard was planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc in 1997, with additional Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc and Petite Verdot added in 2000. The winery now produces estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc.
