Caymus Vineyards

They offer both a bar-tasting with no reservation needed, or a reservation-only ($30) educational sit-down tasting in a private room with 6-10 individuals. As far as wines go I have never had a bad wine at Caymus' tasting room. The Wagner family has created some wonderful wines. Although the tasting room is quite small the wines are wonderful as well as the staff.

Riboli Family Wine Estates

The Riboli Family WInes Estates/San Antonio Winery in LA offers complimentary tasting and winery tours. The Winery features Riboli Family of Wines and a unique and varied selection from around the wine world. Actually have 3 locations in LA, Ontario east of LA and in Paso Robles.

Rowland Cellars

Rowland Cellars makes about 7,000 cases of wine a year from appellations in Napa and New Zealand. The Ramspeck family started making wine 450 years ago and the brand was re-introduced by Gerry and Linda Rowland in 1991. Their other two brands are Rowland and Cenay.
Ramspeck Pinot Noir is made in Napa County. I tasted a 2009 vintage and found it to be darker than most Pinot Noir wines. It had a strong fruit and tobacco bite to it initially, but further consideration showed softness and a smooth finish. I liked that it was different and it was complex. What really makes it special is that it’s not something that you can find at any store. It’s unique, and inconsistent, and only available in limited quantity.

Sbragia Family Vineyards

Sbragia is a good winery and nice tasting room in this valley too full of wineries.
Enoy the scenic views down the valley when you're perched up on the patio deck.
Nice people serve the wines here. I like the crisp white wines they make.
Bottle prices range from high 20's to mid $40's

Located in the beautiful San Joaquin Valley, gateway to the world-renowned Sierra Foothills and “Gold Country.” This winery honors the beauty and excellence synonymous with this extraordinary place. An 85-acre estate, guests enjoy a blend of award-winning wines and a flavor of Greece radiating throughout.

Merryvale Vineyards

The people are always so friendly here. Wines are always great. The wine staff is very open to teach you about wine. They're not pretentious as a lot of the wineries are up in Napa. Quit refreshing.
Located in picturesque St. Helena, Merryvale’s historic building was the first winery built in the Napa Valley after the repeal of Prohibition in 1933, and has become a favorite destination for visitors to the valley. Merryvale Vineyards inviting cellar is ideally located in the heart of Napa Valley within easy walking distance of shopping in downtown St. Helena, across from the casual eatery Gott's Roadside, and next door to world-famous Tra Vigne restaurant.

Boeschen Vineyards

What a hidden gem! They only make four types of wine: sauvignon blanc, rosé, cabernet sauvignon, and a blend. Normally after you wine taste, you would just buy your favorite wines and leave the winery, right? Well, Doug, the vintner and now tour guide, then took us for a tour outside the wine cave and showed us the estate's 200+ year old rose, the extensive car collection residing in a renovated barn, and the fully restored functioning green house.

Moss Creek Winery

I visited their small quaint tasting room once and a great time tasting its varieties. Moss Creek Winery and Moskowite Family Vineyards is located in Capell Valley in the eastern part of the Napa Valley AVA. In 1999, George and Ann Moskowite established Moss Creek Winery. They sell many of their grapes, but also produce a limited amount of estate wine. Winemaker Nils Venge handcrafts Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc.
