Nicholson Ranch Winery

Take a tour here. It is only $15 for a group tour or $20 for a private one. This also includes 5 wines to as you go along the tour! Such a great value. Our tour guide was Robert and he did an excellent job. He had a lot of interesting information to share and answered any and all questions we had.

Jarvis Wines

Today's wine tasting tour began at 1:00. Rob was very knowledgeable and a lot of fun.

The underground cave is a wonderful experience. There is even an underground waterfall & an underground creek!

At the end of the tour you sit in a tasting room with one of the best Brie as well as Goat cheese plates and plain crackers that we have ever had.

6 glasses of 6 different wines. You get to experience the change in taste (richer/bolder/smoother) when a glass of wine sits for 10 minutes.

Over all experience was excellent.

Clos Du Val Wine Co.

Clos Du Val offers everything from a casual tasting at their tasting bar, to formal tours and tastings with the winemaker, to large group wine tasting and blending seminars. Beautifully manicured grounds provide the perfect setting for romantic interludes or picnics with family and friends.

Rutherford Hill Winery

f I could say, I wish all wineries would make their tasting free if a bottle of wine is purchased. I get that they have buses with tipsy people in them visit and have to charge those folks. But we're buyers so tasting means sampling for a sale.
Our tasting room person made a great reference that spoke to me -- maybe he had another sense. He said one wine was good for eating pizza and watching March Madness. And this was in early March. I love March Madness! The winery is up on the hill so the view is amazing. If you do the tour, they will take you around and show you but if you just go for the tasting, you can always walk around on your own and enjoy the view. They have 3 tours a day starting at 11:30am.

Wing Canyon Vineyard

Wing Canyon has played a major role in the evolution of Mt. Veeder as a prominent wine-producing region. From vineyards to carp farm, popular resort to a camp for the blind Wing Canyon has been home to valley pioneers and visitors for over a century. Captain Stalhan Wing produced the first Mt Veeder wine, which he entered into the Napa County Fair in 1864. He was also known for his carp, thousands of which he raised in man-made ponds amongst the vineyards.

Nine North Wines

The Nine North Wine Company is a unique portfolio of small handcrafted wines from Napa Valley as well as California's North Coast appellation that specialize in offering exceptional quality, worth and value. The portfolio can usually be found in fine wine shops and restaurants around the country. The Nine North Wine Company is located in the prestigious Stags Leap District. Owned and operated by Jim Gill and James Harder, two long time friends from Canada who have fulfilled their dreams by moving to the Napa Valley to produce wine. Working closely with Gill and Harder, is fellow vintner Jim Regusci. The three have developed a unique portfolio of small handcrafted wines. Each brand is under complete ownership and guidance by at least one of the three members.

Alexander & Wayne

Alexander & Wayne is very nice winery in the Santa Ynez Valley. They have a wonderful portfolio of Central Coast wines, while their sister winery, Arthur Earl, focuses on Old World varietals. Nancy, who oversees both tasting rooms and writes the Wine Club newsletters, is always a conversational delight.

La Nebbia Winery

Fun, unassuming tasting room. The service was really friendly and I got the impression that the "$10 for 5" tasting is rarely a sticking point. Meaning, they poured my group additional samples and even asked me which one I wanted to try one last time as I was paying. Never with the feeling I was being pressured to buy anything, far from it. Ample picnic area in the back. BYO whatever and enjoy the scenery and play a game of bocce ball in one of their 2 courts. This is a perfect stop on your way to the beach or when heading back home.
