J Wine Company

A classy place to taste the bubbly, sample super-gourmet treats, take a tour, or join a class, J specializes in sparkling wine and has a dazzling showroom for visitors. Check out the gardens, drink in the view, and be ready for plenty of tiny bubbles.

J. Pedroncelli Vineyards

Since 1927, when John Pedroncelli, Sr. purchased vineyard and a small winery in Sonoma County's Dry Creek Valley, two elements remain unchanged: the exceptional place the Pedroncelli family farms vineyards, and the family's dedication to making fine wines.

J. Rickards Vineyard & Winery

When we drove up we were greeted by 2 dogs and Jim the owner. The place is quaint and wine is phenomenal. Jim the owner took his time and explained the wine making process to our group, he even had us taste one of the grapes on the hillside. One of my favorite wines was the wine blend called "Sisters" which is made from the traditional Bordeaux varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petite Verdot and Malbec, all estate grown

Jacuzzi Family Vineyards

acuzzi is a unique place for sure. Yes, there are a lot of wineries that combine both vino and olive oil, but I think Jacuzzi "owns it" as good as anyone. They've got a huge facility with a very generous, separate area devoted completely to the olive oil, so you've really got two completely different tasting experiences in one stop. Both the wine and the olive oil tastings are free; another pleasant surprise since even Sonoma county is running low on the complimentary tastings.

John Tyler Wines

This is a small and unassuming tasting room with really friendly and welcoming employees. The bar was standing room only but we were quickly greeted and well taken care of. The wines are INSANELY amazing and fairly priced.
A reserve tasting is $20 and they will refund half of your tasting fee if you purchase a few bottles -- I don't like this new trend of not refunding your tasting fee with purchase, but at least you get $10 back.

Jordan Estate Winery

The wines speak for themselves... The grounds, ambiance and staff are first class! Jordan only makes chardonnay, very French....not oaky or buttery like most California chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Both are quite good. They have also started pressing their own olive oil.

Joseph Swan Vineyards

Mr. Swan makes some very nice California pinot noirs and zinfandels. Sure, this is not OPUS ONE facility-wise, but Rod makes great wine at more than fair prices. I appreciated their willingness to educate people and enjoyed their 07 Tannat.

Kachina Vineyards

THIS WINERY HAS CLOSED

The grounds are beautiful and built to resemble a Tuscan villa and I must say that if you close your eyes while you're out on the patio sipping their Cabernet Sauvignon, you feel like you're miles away from civilization. Greg, the owner was extremely nice and told us that the winery is 100% solar powered and only about 2 yrs old, yet the '07 Cab was drinking deliciously and the '06 Port is worth a return trip by itself!

Kalin Cellars

Kalin Cellars is a small winery located in Marin County, California which produces 7,000 cases per year of wine made by completely traditional European methods. These time and labor intensive procedures severely limit the quantity - but not the quality - of wine that they are able to produce. Kalin Cellars was founded in 1977 and is located in Marin County - just north of San Francisco. It is owned and operated by Terry and Frances Leighton. They are the only two people between the grape and the bottle - there are no assistant winemakers, cellar workers, etc. - just a little help from our friends.
