Jaeger Vineyards

Jaeger Vineyards are grape growers who sell their fruit to local wineries. Its first objective is to keep business in Napa with sustainability and good farming at the forefront, protecting the soil's terroir and following sound practices in order to do so. The family owned vineyard began back in the early 70s when Bill Jaeger came to Napa and bought some land in the district of Oak Knoll, a now renowned area for wine that is recognized worldwide. Varietals include Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. Jaeger Vineyards is partnered with Alpha Omega Wines and Amour Prive Winery.

Jaffe Estate

Jaffe Estate Wines is a family-owned winery. The estate produces rich and medium-bodied Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon wines. Customers can order online or make an appointment to have a tasting.

Jarvis Wines

Today's wine tasting tour began at 1:00. Rob was very knowledgeable and a lot of fun.

The underground cave is a wonderful experience. There is even an underground waterfall & an underground creek!

At the end of the tour you sit in a tasting room with one of the best Brie as well as Goat cheese plates and plain crackers that we have ever had.

6 glasses of 6 different wines. You get to experience the change in taste (richer/bolder/smoother) when a glass of wine sits for 10 minutes.

Over all experience was excellent.

Jax Vineyards

Marjorie was an excellent host, and she made us feel so welcome like we were visiting a friend's house. The house and the vineyard were beauiful (just like visiting Southern France). Not to mention all of their wines are great. The private tasting with the cheese pairings were exceptional. Truly a hidden gem, you won't be disappointed! A word of warning is that you'll probably end up joining their wine club or carting back a whole bunch of wine :)

Jean Edwards Cellars

Karen and John Troisi started Jean Edwards Cellars in 2004 and released their first wine in 2006, which was spectacular. Wine Spectator Magazine named them as one of "20 new cabernet producers to watch that could be the next cult wines". Jean Edwards Cellars is in the good company of well-known producers such as Scarecrow, Kapscandy, Ghost Block, MacAuley, and Oakville East. The fruit for this wine comes from the Stagecoach Vineyard located on Pritchard Hill on the eastern side of the Napa Valley. Their vines (neighboring with Paul Hobbs) have produced a delicious full-bodied, solid and classically styled Napa Cabernet. In the glass deep garnet-purple, with lovely dark cassis, plum, cedar and earth notes, hints of tobacco and vanilla and a delicious hint of dark chocolate on the palate. Aged 24 months in French Oak, the wine is 92% cabernet sauvignon and 8% cabernet franc. Jean Edwards Cellars produces full-bodied and wines yet not at all over the top, this wine has a balance and fineness that so many of the huge framed super expensive Napa Cabs seem to lack. Drinkable now, especially with a decanter, it will continue to gain complexity with additional cellaring for 5-10 years. Production was a mere 250 cases.~

Jeff Runquist Wines

The strongest line-up of red wines in the Amador County. Just that simple and straightforward. Jeff history in Paso Robles winemaking shows up in his product here. Big. Bold Varietal flavors. Huge Palate. Strong finish. Complexity enough for everyone, but not edgy and overpowering. A true gem in Amador! Jeff Runquist is an amazing wine maker and he utilizes grapes not only from Amador but all over Ca. Open Friday through Sunday 11-5 Limos and large groups by appointment only.

Jekel Vineyards

Bill Jekel one of the first growers to see Monterey's potentiial for wine excellence and founded his winery in 1972. Today Jekel is know for crafting exquistely distinctively crafted varietals.

Jericho Canyon Vineyard

The Cabernets were the standout, but don't miss the surprising Sauvignon Blanc. If any bottles of the 2005 Cabernet remain, it's an absolute must. The winery is off the beaten path, but well worth the trip; beautiful setting with gorgeous views from the vineyard. The wine tasting room is really elegant and is housed in their cave.

Jeriko Estate

The grounds are gorgeous, as is the tasting room. Very elegant and spacious. Our wine Diva was Linda, who was one of the most informative and fun wine pros we had met. She schooled us in such a fun and creative way we almost didn't want to leave!
