Acorn Winery

Paint of woman with glass of wine

Acorn Winery is a small family winery in Healdsburg, appointment only . We were there for about 1.5 hours talking and tasting with the owners, who were super-friendly. Their wine is very good.~ Art work by Wine Artist Agata Zaborowski – Agata Art Gallery

Everett Ridge Vineyards & Winery

One thing about this winery...it has a wonderful view of the entire valley. Whether you are sitting out at the tables or inside doing a tasting. Staff is very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. I was a fan of quite a few of the wines. What stuck out for me was the Zin-a and the Diablita Red Blend and the Diablita Blanca.

Petroni Vineyards

We had a wonderful experience at the winery. We were greeted by Elizabeth and tasted approximately 8 wines out by the pool. The atmosphere was very relaxed and I loved how we could just taste our way through the wines at our own pace. It was also nice to break up the tasting with olive oil and fresh bread. What makes Petroni different from other wine tasting experiences in Sonoma?:

- sit down tasting
- relaxed atmosphere (uncommon at most Napa and Sonoma wineries)
-fabulous wines, the real "stand-out" for me was their unfiltered Pinot Noir, it was incredible!

Miro Cellars

Miro Tcholakov was born and raised in Northern Bulgaria, a region with many millennia of winemaking history. He was exposed to wine and wine making at a very early age from his grandfather who taught him how to make wine in the old tradition that had been tested through generations.

Forchini Vineyards & Winery

FORCHINI VINEYARDS & WINERY is a unique family winery owned and operated by Jim & Anita Forchini with help from family members. After being grape growers in Sonoma County since 1971, the dream of creating wines from our own vineyards finally became a reality in 1996 when Jim & Anita started in a small barrel room making 425 cases. Annual production today is limited to 3000 cases

Loxton Cellars

The property is small and nothing fancy but more likely than not, your wine tasting will be led by the vintner himself, who came to Sonoma with nothing and built this small winery with his own hands. He's a great host who truly understands and loves wine. It's a delightful experience and the wine is priced very reasonably compared to many other wineries in the area.

Eric Ross Winery

A foodie at heart, Eric likens the wines to a beautiful meal: "If you start out with really good fresh ingredients, I mean really good, you have the fundamental components for something extraordinary." Taking advantage of this premium growing region, and by hand-crafting each vintage, Eric Ross Winery takes that same approach when producing our wines. " Taste The Vineyard" that's what the wine should reflect.

Calstar Cellars

A life-long interest in fine food and artisan craft led, Proprietor and Winemaker, Rick Davis to the wine industry. With graduate work in soil sciences and his first experience as a cellar-hand for Rivendell Winery, a small winery in New Paltz, NY, he quickly learned the trade and excelled to Winemaker. In order to pursue this newfound passion, his move to Sonoma County, CA left him in the perfect place to master winemaking and focus on Pinot Noir.

Williams Selyem Winery

Williams Seylem is an institution. The original cult pinot negociant in America. For pinotfiles this place is a mecca. Since then it has changed hands (and by that I mean about a decade ago). The juice is still superb, sourced from the best vineyards in the area, and service wonderful. Though you've got to be on the mailing list to visit. Appointment required: yes, and you need to be on the list, or find someone who is.
