The views are beautiful, the wines are great and the staff are all excellent; informative about the wines and the region. Rosalyn has poured for us several time and is professional and adorable. Make a reservation, get the Bench wine tasting, claim any one of many spots overlooking the valley and relax. All the wines we tasted were pretty good, the service was great, and the atmosphere fantastic! They treat you well and the location is awesome. It is also dog friendly which is a plus.

Robert Craig Wine Cellars

When you go wine tasting in major vineyards a lot is lost when tasters serve big parties or lots of people unless you have a private tour but Robert Craig was excellent. It was a small building that catered to small groups and our taste master Jeff was the best maestro yet. He broke it down to us and told us about every vineyard region in this area, dropping vital wine knowledge in our brains and we learned so much as rookie winos. Not only did he drop beverage knowledge he also helped guide our hunger palate as well, letting us know the ins and outs of what's good food and whats a tourist trap in Napa.If you love terroir driven red wines, especially Cabs, you will find Robert Craig wines to be exceptionally good with much character.

Brown Estates

We had four distinct wines and it was so difficult to choose which ones to go home with! We bought 2 and will be joing their wine club for sure. The grounds were so beautiful ~ such rich history. This small family owned winery is a hidden treasure! The old barn, the cave and the tasting room were so beautiful. I strongly recommend this as your first stop..... it will be hard to find anything better.

Schweiger Vineyards

2500 ft up the mountain from the "flatlands" of St. Helena. Very different feel from the wineries down on the valley floor. Small family owned and operated winery. We did not get a tour but had a very pleasant tasting.
