1850 Wine Cellars

THE PROMISE OF GOLD
California was founded on the promise of gold and that is the standard we hold ourselves to.

Inspired by breathtaking natural beauty and a sense of discovery, 1850 Wine Cellars exemplifies the gold standard of wine. Sustainably farming and sourcing grapes from vineyards located primarily in Amador County, Fair Play, El Dorado County, and other Sierra Foothill growing regions, we produce high-quality wine meant to be a part of your next adventure.

A. Nonini Winery

A. Nonini Winery logo

A. Nonini Winery (aka Fresno's best-kept secret) was founded in 1936 by Antonio and Angiolina Nonini, and the business carries on managed by the fourth generation. We were pleased to tour the winery, starting with the 1941 Garolla grape crusher from Italy and ending with the finished product resting in the redwood tanks, which can easily be arranged by calling James Jordan.  They also have facilities for hosting special events. Be sure to try the Nonini Winery's Ruby Cabernet. The winery opens it's tasting room from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.~

Hours:

Mon - Sat - 9:00AM to 4:00PM

A. Rafanelli Winery

painting friends with wine

The A. Rafanelli Winery was founded in the early 1900's and this unique winery is still family owned and operated.  The founder, Alberto Rafanelli, was an Italian immigrant who settled in the Healdsburg, California area and started making wine.

In the 1950's the winery was moved to the Dry Creek Valley and by 1970 had established the current label. This winery specializes in Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot producing only 11,000 cases annually.  The philosophy is quality over quantity.

Tasting and purchases are by appointment only. Wines are only available through direct purchase or through selected fine restaurants. - Art work by Wine Artist Agata Zaborowski – Agata Art Gallery

Abreu Vineyards

David Abreu

Abreu Vineyards was founded by David Abreu, a third-generation native of the Napa Valley. David grew up in Rutherford, California in a family with farming interests. Starting at an early age, David worked during the summers at Inglenook and Caymus vineyard. As time passed, David Abreu's interests focused on viticulture and ultimately he began to farm and manage several properties on his own. In 1980 he founded David Abreu Vineyard Management, Inc. That same year he developed the Madrona Ranch vineyard. David produced his first wine in 1986 from the Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc at Madrona Ranch. His first commercial release was with the 1987 Abreu Madrona Ranch.~

Ackerman Family Vineyards

Ackerman Family Vineyards Cabernet wine label

You will love Ackerman Family Vineyards if you have a passion for wines that reflect more of a Bordeaux style – smooth, well-structured wines that beautifully complement the food.  These are wines where the micro-climates of the region play a more predominant role in the end result.  Ackerman Family wines reveal deep berry flavors resulting from the perfect balance between soils and fruit. Are you looking to add a unique variation to your Cabernet Sauvignon choices?  This is the place!~

Adelaida Vineyards

Not only is Adelaida Vineyards' wine consistently wonderful, but EVERYONE who walks into their inviting tasting room is treated with superior customer service. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about varietals, flavors (and pairings), and the behind-the-scenes skill that goes into making their wines is outstanding!
