Paul Hobbs Winery

Top notch experience with top notch wine. Lauren was our host for the day and started by taking us into a big room with a fully set table. The wine snob that I am appreciated that we were each given multiple glasses that were appropriate for the wine were were tasting - Chardonnay, Pinot & Cab. It makes such a difference and that should have been the first clue to the experience we were about to have.

Sonoma Valley Port Works

Think Dessert!
Sonoma Valley Port Works tasting room and offices are located in the old Foundry Wharf building along the Petaluma River just south of the historic city center of Petaluma. Not only can you experience their wonderful after-dinner wines, but taste their new creations right out of the barrel!

Arista Winery

The grounds are absolutely stunning and picturesque. The owners have taken great pride in maintaining the original tea garden settings, and make a great place for a relaxing picnic or sipping on some of there delicious wines. Great staff. Beautiful scenery.

Hawley Wine

The staff here was not your typical in-your-face, super-upseller, super high energy and friendly type of pourer-- but she was very helpful, sweet and laid back which was kind of nice for a change. The room itself is worth the stop! All the hand carved wood--surrounding the barrel-made bar in the middle of the room, the tasting bar, and the walls is beautiful. The wood gives this place a super relaxing, comfortable cozy wine tasting environment.

Mayo-Murdick Wines

Very relaxed casual winery that seems to be frequented by locals. Just my thing. It's just off the main road so there's no huge building and immaculately groomed grounds. The tasting room isn't done up in an particular way (not like some places that have a french/italian/etc theme). But the people who work here are friendly and the wines are decent. The normal tasting is only $6.

Moon Mountain Vineyards

Moon Mountain Vineyard is a family-owned 286-acre property located high on the western side of the Mayacamas Mountains. Sixty-six acres of this rugged mountain terrain are devoted to organic vineyards. The property also serves as the home of Repris Wines. Nice red wines grown on the hilltop with near organic techniques. The syrah is very good and the cabernet sauvignon is usually blended nicely. In general their red wine tends to be rich in flavor with a nice finish.

Castle Vineyards

Castle Vineyards & Winery was acquired in 2006 by John and Kathleen Sweazey, who combine years of passionate wine interest and experience with their success in small business enterprises. In pursuit of a new wine business venture, production of Castle wines has ceased so that the Sweazey’s may carry out their dream and focus on their new winery, Anaba. Anaba Wines has a similar focus on Rhone and Burgundian varietals and a continuing commitment to high quality wines and grape sources.
